New home construction, model home tours, floor plan selection, design/finish options, and build coordination within the Daybreak community.
Customer feedback highlights strong communication and timely follow-up during the build process, with some buyers returning for a second home. Many mention appealing floor plans, natural light, and finishes that present well in model homes. A smaller number of reviews raise concerns about workmanship items discovered after move-in. Overall ratings trend positive with emphasis on responsiveness and design.
There are many things that we dearly love about our home. We bought it from the original owner. The floor plan is outstanding and the appearance is very nice. However, as time has gone on, we have found that the workmanship on the home is often quite shoddy. For example, we recently had to replace a French drain that had failed. Not surprising, they do fail after 20 to 30 years. It hasn't been that long for us. The outlet pipe was very, very small... only 2 inches. It was filled with dirt and such. The gravel pit for the drain was filled with gravel (as it was supposed to be), but also filled with garbage, cement bags, and a lot of dirt and coarse sand that was there from the start (according to the workmen that replaced it). Given the drain's location, I believe that completely. Another example of the shoddy workmanship is the upstairs bedroom. We could not understand why the room was always cold in the winter and hot in the summer. We had extra insulation put in the attic for that room and the whole house... only to find that there was no insulation at all in this room... not in the outside walls... not over the ceiling. The intercom system had music speakers in many locations of the house. They just stopped working for no reason one day. According to the specialist that came to fix it, they should be working fine, but no fix available. He couldn't explain it. We replaced the countertops in the kitchen with granite tops, only to find sawdust, trash, old drink cups and the like, many filled with sawdust and wood chips, within the counters and cabinets in places that we couldn't reach otherwise. I don't know, maybe these things are the industry standard, but I don't think so. Very disappointed. And these things make me wonder what else Rainey took bad shortcuts with or made poorly. It also makes me wonder what will be the next thing I will find that they did poorly and whether it will affect the safety and well-being of me and my family.
We recently moved into our 2nd home built by Rainey in the last 6 years. Not only do they build with the highest level of quality, but are a very reliable home builder with fantastic communication throughout the building process. When mistakes or concerns arise, they are always addressed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Rainey Homes.
We toured Rainey homes during the Salt Lake parade of homes. The home had a great floor plan and lots of beautiful windows for natural light. It had beautiful high quality finishes.
Doug Schwartz was great to work with and building a home with Rainey was a good experience. I highly recommend going with Rainey, they build a great home with lots of extras.
