Please whoever is trying to buy homes from them, do talk to the lender first to verify whatever you will be told by sales rep. In my case I was fed with wrong information.

Do not buy a Holt Home!They cut corners and build houses not up to code to save costs at the expense of the homeowners and guaranteed you will be paying thousands of dollars down the line for repairs. They offer a 10 year structural defect warranty but do not honor this.My home, along with many others in the neighborhood, suffered extensive water damage due to poor building quality. Initially I called the warranty department but they said it’s not their problem and they won’t fix it. I’m now out thousands of dollars I don’t have to make the necessary repairs on a two year old house. One of the biggest being an entirely new roof.Keep looking or set aside a sizable emergency fund because if you buy a Holt home you are going to need it.
I purchased a home from holt in April. I have had contaminated water since May. I have struggled nearly daily to get Holt to honor their warranty and find the solution to the problem. It has been months with no honest movement forward. The only solutions currently proposed by Holt are admittedly (by Keaton Graser) pointless and Shannon was very quick to throw his hands up and say they will fix nothing instead of make pointless repairs.Here is the wonderful water that is provided by holt homes. the city of Cornelius has gone above and beyond and have taken these water samples so they can help determine the contamination. The public works department has done more to get to the bottom of this than holt can be bothered to.Please take note this is only from the hot water side.
