There is so much unfinished work in our house. The first owner wasn’t able to get them to fix anything despite having a warranty. Now we’re footing the bill. They didn’t even finish framing out the door to the hvac closet. Wtaf how did it pass permitting and inspections? The ducts all over the house bang every time the heat turns on making it hard to sleep. And who installs AC in house with no return in the upstairs? Not to mention the AC is leaning to one side. The hot water heater and washer/dryer unit are just sitting on the floor. Takes forever for hot water to come out of the faucet. The floors are not level and the handrails in the stairwell are coming off the wall. Rafters holding up the roof were split and the metal reinforcing wasn’t mounted correctly. The plastic vapor barrier lining the foundation wasn’t even installed in one large section and now has to be redone. Even the damn fencing is falling apart. The house is only 4 yro and the previous owner took good care of it but couldn’t get the builders to follow through on their warranty despite all this. They literally didn’t even have the electrical box inspection sticker posted. Did the city approve of the electrical?!? who knows! This damn company cuts corners every step of the way. Be careful if you’re thinking of purchasing one these homes.
Worst customer service. Very rude and condescending. They act all nice until you sign the contract and the lying and cheating starts immediately after that. David Weekly and Holt homes are nice and they treat everyone with respect
The neighborhood is nice. The houses look good; however, they are built so fast that I feel like they cut corners and some of the craftsmanship looks cheap. We have had a handful of issues within the first year. They also forgot to install a couple of things. TRIPLE CHECK EVERYTHING when you are doing your walk through. The HOA SUCKS! I have also found a lot of nails in the street due to the construction.
