My wife and I drove past the Schumacher Home models at exit 5 on I95 many times over the five years we have been living here and always said if we had to build again we wanted to consider one of their homes. Well that day has come and we are in the initial stages with Issac Taylor and the team at the Hilton Head office. Issac has made the process very enjoyable so far. He has been very informative, patient and has explained the Schumacher home build process very well. We also, liked the turnkey process as they handle everything in the build process, including assisting with the mortgage process with Schumacher Mortgage (Jeff Whorton). They have many plans and options to fit our lifestyle. We are looking forward to the next stage in the process.
We had been looking for a builder who could handle a VA Construction loan for us, and we were pleasantly surprised to find Lee Thompson at Schumacher Homes of Hilton Head. They have a conveniently placed office/Model home right off of Exit 5 in Hardeeville where we are currently residing in our RV. Lee has been a pleasure to work with, as his experience in this area of work, and his life experiences of RV Life intersects well with ours and what we would like to do with the property and Schumacher Homes available options. There model homes are beautiful and show off their quality of build and some of the options that are available for our choosing. The design center has everything needed to make the process super easy and Olivia definitely made our selection process easy. We were in and out the door in 45 minutes with all the selections made. What makes Schumacher Homes above others that we have built with, is many of their "included" options and features would be upgraded options for other builders. We are still in the beginning stages of our land and build purchase process which dealing with Jeff Whorton with Schumacher Mortgage (2 different companies) was also great. He took the time to explain and answer any questions pertaining to purchasing land and completing a build with one closing. We are doing this under a VA Home loan so having someone who can answer those specific questions is great. We hope all goes well, and I may update this post/review as we move forward.

I highly recommend stopping by the office for a quick chat to see how easy building your new home can be. So glad I decided to go in and talk to someone.
We were greeted warmly in the visitor center and appreciated the presentation of gorgeous materials available. Loved the two models — especially the Bluffton model! Schumacher Homes always has gorgeous tall ceilings and two story window features ?¨
Our experience with Schumacher Homes has been wonderful so far. Leah is amazing to work with. She is so kind and patient. She listens to what you need and want in your home. She worked with us as we changed our mind several times during the beginning of the process of home-building. She has been quick to respond every time we reached out to her. She definitely helped put our minds at ease. We are looking forward to the rest of the process with the team.
