Steve Manning is a great employee. I am however having some issues from the Arizona branch but Steve has been very helpful throughout this process.
Best customer service. Super impressed with the quality of the home and the amazing process of new home ownership and their walk throughs with us and showing us how to take care of the new home. I can't say how impressed we are with the house. The floor plan and selections we picked were installed perfect and the place just looks amazing!
We bought a new home at Bungalows at Beach House in 6/14, Port Hueneme, CA. We have had problems with the hardwood floors they selected since we moved, we bought one of the last homes. We did not get to go to the design center. The hardwood floor they are using throughout their projects are the lowest quality. We are having problems with the wood planks bowing/warping, the wood part of the plank is so thin, and the rest is just compressed paper. The floors are so cheap that they scratch by just walking on them. We were told by the sales staff we would be able to resurface, by sanding and re-stain at least once. They did accept responsibility for a small section in the kitchen, they did come and tear out that section, (that is when I learned it was just compressed paper, under a thin layer of wood), and another small area in our dinning area. But they refused to replace the cheap wood with a 3/8th"inch that would last for many years. They refuse to replace the warped flooring at all, and all of the areas that we were able to prove with photos. We have sent so many photos showing that the wood floor is getting worse, but have been told they can't help. I demanded to speak with the corporate office, that was three - four months ago, no call. At this point we will have to replace this floor within 2-3 years. I have pleaded with Standard Pacific and the new owners. If you spend over a million, make sure they have updated the wood flooring, or you could end up with a little wood and compressed paper. And scratches on every plank. And no help from the design center or the developer.
I thought KB Homes was bad, they are great compared to Standard Pacific. I have not closed on my home as yet and I have a list of problems that you would be mind boggled to know: sliding door tracks are butchered(not cut properly), EVERY SINGLE kitchen cabinet is damaged(and I paid $10k extra to upgrade), bathroom tiles not installed after I paid upgrade again for, they had HUGE gaps behind the bathroom tiles that would cause water to leak behind over time and cause water damage in the ceiling. We are about to get a lawyer to get out!
Worst customer service ever! I have not even moved into our new home in Wesley Chapel and CANNOT get them to properly build out home.Damaged cabinets, holes in the wall, upgraded sliding door incorrectly installed, tiles has HUGE gaps at the corners, beer bottles left all over the place by the workers. To top it off, when we communicate with them, no sense of care. Considering getting a lawyer to get out.
