We have renovated eight homes throughout the years and without a doubt, Mike and Jason from coastal Custom Builders were the best Builders we’ve used. They were very communicative and professional. They also came in under budget.The finished product is gorgeous. If I could give them six stars I would. Awesome company that we would recommend highly to anyone !!

Over a year ago, I decided to build an addition to my home. This was a 1000 ft.² master suite. A lot of GCs were not particularly receptive to take on an addition and seemed to only want to do an entire home buildout.

I interviewed several general contractors and through a great recommendation. I elected to use Mike at coastal custom builders.

His foreman Jason was excellent throughout the process. Both of them kept me well informed Throughout the entire project. They were both very accessible and interacted very well with my architect who remained on with me throughout the build out as my offsite manager. Their office person, Shana was very helpful and receptive with certain questions. She would send interval invoices which were very easy to interpret. The cost plus format worked out really well for me. I was able to follow every dollar spent. As a physician I am not well versed in the construction industry. However they were all very informative and patient with me.

All of their subcontractors were pleasant and seem to have done a really good job.

I rarely give 5 star reviews but Mike and Coastal deserve them. Just look at their previous reviews.

We just arrived to our gorgeous home and we are thrilled at how it has turned out! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your hard work and dedication. You guys (Mike, Jason, Melissa) and the entire team are true professionals and a pleasure to work with. I cannot believe we took that dated rundown home and made a show stopper out of her! Please pass on our gratitude to all your staff. Everyone from the demo guys to the finishers were top notch. We have worked with several contractors and have NEVER had such a great experience.

Tearing down an existing home and rebuilding it while you are not in the same state is not for the faint hearted. So much could have gone wrong but, with your team, it never did! We were in constant communication and you were always accessible even in weekends and off hours. We didn’t have to guess at what was getting done or chase you to get the different phases of the project finished on time. Your crews were always ahead of the curve and progress was always a top priority.
We not only would recommend you to anyone looking to build or remodel but, we want to continue to do projects with you!

We are absolutely thrilled with our new addition! What had been an ordinary outdoor patio is now a fabulous indoor living space, the highlight of which is a gorgeous porcelain wall that houses a fireplace and big-screen TV. Mike and his team were on-site on a daily basis to insure the work was being done properly and professionally. We literally had teams of people here 5-6 days/week to keep the project moving. Our renovation was done on time and on budget. We highly recommend Mike & his team....hard working, professional, and above all HONEST! Well done, Mike & Jason, thank you!
