Apchin Design + Build

Apchin Design Corp, designed and built our dream home in Kelowna. Denis Apchin’s reputation for high-quality and attention to detail is very evident in every area of our home. Their work is impressive and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. Many years after our home was completed, we lost our dock and foreshore due to the significant flooding in Kelowna in 2017. Denis and his team helped us through the process of rebuilding, making it as seamless as possible. We have, and will continue to recommend Apchin Design Corp to anyone who is looking to build a quality custom home. Gerald & Rita Varzari

I have had the opportunity to capture photographs of Denis' projects for over a decade. Denis is wonderful to work with, very professional and a brilliant designer. We photograph a lot of luxury properties all over the world and I have often said that when it comes to my own future dream home, I would hope that Denis would be the one to design it. I love his work!

Denis is a amazing architect. He has designed our last two houses and we are extremely impressed with both finished designs. He has a fantastic team that are easy to deal with and when we needed to make any changes he always came up with great ideas. He is professional, so creative and listens to what your needs are. We would highly recommend Apchin Design and will differently use Denis again. Thanks Denis for helping us with the design of our homes which we love.

It proved to be a great pleasure to work with Apchin Design in completing the design of our dream home. Denis and his team were great listeners on our family's needs and preferences, and then meeting those needs with an exceptional, functional and a most beautiful home design. Thank-you. Steve

To say that Denis is an incredibly talented designer would be an understatement. Few home designers, in fact, are Gifted to that degree. Perhaps that’s why one of our recent guests wrote in their review of Crescendo (our ski home), “I sent Crescendo’s architectural plans to St Peter, so when I get to heaven, he’ll already have a start on my dream chalet.” Importantly, there is nothing cookie-cutter about a single home that Denis designs, which is obvious when merely perusing his portfolio. Less obvious, though, is just how much thought Denis puts into sizing-up the home’s plot: its ultimate available footprint, its typography, its location, and the surrounding community. With Crescendo, for example, Denis harmonized contemporary ingenuity/elegance with nature’s raw beauty. The home’s structure was intentionally engineered to follow the mountain’s natural contour, with decks that step right out onto the slopes at their expected levels. Also, while Denis may not be credited for creating the Monashee Mountains, in Crescendo, he certainly should be credited for capturing it. A credit to Denis, then, is that Crescendo was awarded the Oscar by the World Ski Awards in Kitzbühel, Austria for Best Ski Chalet Canada, 2019. Thanks Denis! Mitch
