Jeff with Lackmeyer Construction was absolutely Amazing! My wife and I had a brick chimney blow off our neighbor’s house and it hit the side of our home when the tornado came through in May of this year. There was extensive damage to approximately 200 square feet of wall and our master bathroom. Our biggest concern was finding a contractor that we could trust. We were looking for someone who provided great communication, showed up on time, actually did what they said they were going to do and at a reasonable price. These would seem to be the basics, but believe it or not Jeff was the 4th contractor we decided to go with after the 3 prior contractors gave us several red flags prior to even touching the project. Jeff made one of the most stressful experiences we have ever had turn into the most enjoyable remodeling/repair experiences we’ve ever had. Jeff, we can’t thank you enough and we look forward to working with you on many home projects to come.
Lackmeyer Homebuilder is top notch! We had a great experience from the very beginning starting with the owner and his team right down to the superintendent and all of the contractors involved. I can’t say enough about this builder and the home they built for us. My house is BEAUTIFUL. I love everything about it. Thank you Lackmeyer Homes!!
This post was flagged and removed. I'm reposting from original posted dated of April 2023.Not committed for the long haul.I purchased a new home in February 2023 from Jeff. Since this was a new build, I put my offer in about 3-4 months prior to closing. During this process he wanted an earlier closing date because the home would be finished earlier, and I wanted a later one. We met in the middle, one month after his requested closing date. With closing, a month after what the builder wanted you would think there will be no delays. This is far from reality, my home inspector had to be rescheduled three times in January due to builder delays. The morning of closing was the walk through and of course there were many things that needed attention and we had to stop the walk through to go to closing.This is my fourth new home purchase and I understand there will be a few minor issues with any home. However, the first week after closing there were so many sub-contractors coming by to fix issues it was overwhelming, and disturbed deliveries and my move.He did seem like he generally cared about his product prior to closing. But wow as I am writing this review, I have been in my new home for 115 days not even 4 months and the builder is totally hands off with any issues brought up. I requested a repair about 80 days after closing and his response was so condensing and displayed a lack of care it’s surprising that any builder would not care about their product within the first year let alone the first 3 months. But, hey it took him nearly 2 months to get my primary shower floor repaired so we could finally use it. I guess true colors come out.I will never buy a home from this guy again “lesson learned”.I would also caution anyone to be careful of any builder that fails to stand behind their product especially during that first year. I’m deliberate not to write a review on any home or long-term purchase until some time has passed and it has been 115 days since I moved in. There are way too many good builders out there that stand behind their work.This company is clearly not one of them, avoid!
