Being a 1st time home buyer in this area and all the horror stories I’ve heard about other agents/builders.I was extremely nervous about the entire process. From the 1st phone call working with Brandi at StarPointe homes, she quickly alleviated my concerns.Every question was answered quickly. Every phone call was returned in a timely manner.She was intentional and listened to our every need/want. Gave us advice on some things we thought we wanted but in the end she was right and we didn’t want it that way.If I could give StarPointe and Brandi 10 stars I would!Can’t wait for them to build our next one!
I have worked along side many contractors/builders in the area. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is when there is clear communication and they’re dependable it makes our install a lot smoother resulting in a job well done. I can trust Jeremy and his team to have all of the prep work done before our install. Reducing the need to re-schedule or delay the project. It’s important to us that our teammates follow through on their end to meet our requirements to complete our projects properly and I never have issues with StarPointe Homes.
Although the house built is a beautiful layout, there's nothing custom about this house. Drainage issues in the garden area, a poorly framed seat in the shower which should have had a 1% slope, not an inch slope, cheapest fixtures that Home Depot has, they missed installing the linen closet as outlined on the plans as well as the rock that should have gone all the way around the house. Jeremy wouldn't own any of his mistakes, and it was like pulling teeth to get him to do obvious repairs. I suppose if you want a spec house, this kind of garbage is acceptable. His excuses and lack of responsiveness show poor character, and his wife Lynn (realtor) was shady by not disclosing the relationship. Board of Realtors will be getting a formal complaint about her and CJ. I have worked in the construction industry for 40+ years, this clown is not a builder, and certainly not a contractor. I did notice that many of the reviews here are from his friends which doesn't represent the poor craftsmanship of my house and my neighbors who will also be writing her review of this bait & switch builder. Something that I did fail to mention, the defective slab that was poured, supposed to be 6" but I identified an area in the garage that was less than an inch thick. I was tempted to do a GPR scan to identify any other areas that were deficient, just never had time to do this. I wouldn't want Starpoint Homes to build me a doghouse, let alone a home!
