Modern Home Builders

If you want quality at a fair price look no further than Modern Home Builders. We had Max and his team help us with a relatively large project including finishing a basement (4 rooms and a full bath), fixing water damage/structural issues, adding/finishing both indoor and outdoor stair cases, and adding an outdoor shower. This job included work across the entire set of disciplines, excavation, concrete, framing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Max and his team delivered on all fronts, and we couldn’t be happier with the results (we also have received many complements on the finished product). When comparing contractors, we chose Max due to his communication, honest/transparency, history of work, and price. On all those fronts he beat out his competitors by a large margin. My wife and I would strongly recommend MHB to anyone looking for a good and reputable contactor in the area.

Max, the owner of Modern Home Builders, is the best contractor available. He is intelligent, kind, focused, dedicated and passionate about achieving your goal. We had a 1000sqft basement area renovated to match the rest of our existing home. Max exceeded every expectation in terms of quality, fairness, transparency, etc etc. Do not pick any other contractor. Max is the only way to go.

The quality and pricing at MODERN HOME BUILDERS are truly exceptional. We have been working with Max for many years, as have many of our friends and family. Max consistently demonstrates professionalism, organization, and punctuality, and he maintains a friendly, approachable demeanor throughout the process. He goes above and beyond to provide us, as clients, with valuable insights into better options and long-term investment opportunities. In August 2023, a massive 90-foot white oak tree fell and devastated our home in Knoxville, TN, leaving us with extensive damage down to the studs, subfloor, and foundation. Max from Modern Home Builders was our saving grace, stepping in to help us rebuild and restore our home to better-than-new condition. Without Max’s expertise and hard work, we wouldn’t have the beautiful home we cherish today. Max is hands-down the best contractor in Knoxville, TN, and a true master of all trades. He rebuilt the subfloor, sanded and refinished half the house's hardwood floors, installed new hardwood and luxury vinyl plank (LVP), repaired damaged studs, rewired half the house's electrical system, added insulation, handled drywall and paint, installed new energy-efficient windows, and even tackled roof repairs. Our kitchen was completely transformed—Max rebuilt it from scratch, including custom cabinets, countertops, and plumbing. Whatever needed to be done, Max did it with precision and excellence. One of the most remarkable things about Max is his ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining top-tier quality. He skillfully navigated the complexities of working with our insurance company and managed every aspect of the project, from permits and inspections to unexpected challenges. Max’s creative ideas, attention to detail, and extensive knowledge of local building codes were invaluable throughout the process. To top it all off, he stayed far below budget, saving us time and money. What truly sets Max apart is his unwavering commitment to his clients. He worked tirelessly to get our family back into our home as quickly as possible, showing genuine care and dedication every step of the way. Max transformed a stressful and overwhelming situation into one of trust and confidence. Beyond being a phenomenal builder, Max has become a trusted friend.
