Jerry Fedewa showed us a 3 bedroom townhome that he had for rent, in the Haslett area, but, decided to not move forward with us, because he said we had too many drivers in the household, (4).Since when does that matter, to get into a rental? Is that something new?I told him we had 2 vehicles, which there’s enough parking for 2 vehicles.But, he kept sighing and acting like he didn’t want to show us the property when we first got there anyway.I wouldn’t recommend his business to anyone.
Building a home, let alone a customized smart home, can be stressful but the Fedewa builders made the process highly organized and thoughtful which took the stress out of the process. Their attention to detail is exceptional.This family of talented, hard working individuals and their contractors are all professional, timely, and very communicative. They used a computer tracking system that we had access to, for all of our selections from faucets to flooring, which helped us stay focused on the myriad of decisions that must be made. If there was an matter of the wrong item ordered which is going to happen with a build of this magnitude, they corrected it immediately.They are genuinely nice, patient, caring people. We simply cannot recomend them highly enough for any building under consideration. While we are not related to them and did not know them before this project, we do feel they are family.
I LOVE this team!! Jerry Fedewa Homes is currently building my first house and I have been extremely happy through the entire process! They have consistently displayed a level of professionalism, expertise, and dedication that is truly above and beyond my expectations. Their skills are evident in the meticulous attention to detail they have shown in every aspect of the project. The communication has been seamless, with the team keeping me informed every step of the way. Trust me, I am extremely picky and I have a hard time making decisions, so when I say they have done a phenomenal job helping me through this process, I really mean it! When I first reached out to David, I had no idea what I wanted as a 31-year-old wheelchair-using single adult having to move to East Lansing due to some circumstances beyond my control and feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of getting settled in a new city, not knowing anybody, and feeling like I have to start over from scratch. I was lost and I had no idea what I wanted, switching between farmhouse style, to traditional, to modern, to cottage, to colonial, and so much more – then spending weeks debating whether I wanted various features and going back and forth between different decisions… I was soo confused, and yet they patiently supported and guided me through creating a completely custom, wheelchair-accessible craftsman style ranch house. I can’t even tell you how patient David was, as I sent him a bunch of different drawings and had countless questions and changed my mind so many times. This is my first time building a house and I also had a budget that was important for me to stick to. The team worked with me to transparently explain what would be possible within my budget and helped me make the most of every option. Sean in particular has been soo helpful to me in the design process, being so patient and understanding when I’ve asked for custom features. Greg and everyone else has also been amazing. Going through the process of making every selection has been so great that it makes me want to potentially build ANOTHER house someday in the future and I would definitely use Jerry Fedewa Homes again since I have gotten to know them and feel so comfortable working with them. Do yourself a favor and go with Jerry Fedewa Homes. I can’t wait for my house to be finished! :) :) :)
Jerry Fedewa Homes (“JFH”) is phenomenal. They operate their business with the utmost integrity and focus on customer satisfaction. At closing, they actually gave me $20k back! I feel anybody else would have kept it but they operate at a higher standard. JFH truly went above and beyond the call of duty with our project. JFH is a family business and every person we worked with, from the very first meeting through closing, was professional and knowledgeable, including JFH’s subs. Moreover, they were a joy to work with because everyone is friendly and fun. I am particularly impressed how well JFH managed this project in a post-CoVID-19 world with supply-chain issues and labor shortages. Mistakes happen but JFH made sure that when that happened, things were corrected. They clearly have built excellent relationships with their suppliers and subs. There’s a lot of trust there and they certainly earned ours and our respect. Home building is a significant investment for most people and can be an incredibly stressful process but JFH made this process smooth and as stress-free as possible for us. We moved in less than a month ago but I continually notice that they made all sorts of decisions on details to make sure our home was absolutely perfect and custom to our taste. Everyday, I find a new reason to smile and I’m sincerely grateful for all the hard work they put into making this home absolutely perfect for us. I am an extremely detail-oriented individual and they not only managed to get it right, they thoroughly impressed me. I can confidently recommend JFH to anybody looking to build a home. I truly believe there is no comparison. These guys are absolute pros and operate with unmatched integrity. Bravo!
