On Dec 24, 2025, Christmas Eve morning around 2AM I woke up to my back patio engulfed in flames. That day forever changed our lives. MCH was recommended by a close friend from Church. I don't believe any other company could or would have helped us through this horrible time with the care, compassion and dedication than Travis. He held our hand and walked us through how this process should have gone. But our insurance company turned a horrible tragedy into a prolonged nightmare.Travis kept saying "I'm going to take care you!" MCH fought hard for the restoration of our home. He should not have had to fight with my insurance company. But they made things extremely difficult. They made MCH's restoration job way more difficult than it needed to be. MCH didn't abandon us when our insurance company prolonged what should have been a 3-4 month restoration into a 7 month restoration.MCH took on some restoration tasks my insurance company didn't/wouldn't approve all because, and I quote Travis saying "It's the right thing to do!" Travis simply refused to cut corners and leave us with a home that was not fully restored in every way. Now our home is beautifully restored. And the Lord saw fit to compensate MCH for all of their hard work in the end.Thank you so much! The Henderson's
Due to a water loss caused by close to 11” of rain back in mid-July, Midwest Comfort Homes (Restore division) was recommended to me by my insurance agent. I am very grateful for that recommendation! The process was simple and all involved were so helpful. After water mitigation was completed, work on my condo unit was started in early September and finished ahead of schedule. New flooring in my main bedroom and closet, new drywall and painting completed. This area took the hardest hit. A small area of living room flooring and baseboards needed to be replaced as well and everything looks fantastic! While i would never wish this on anyone, I’m so pleased with the work done.
We had a great experience with MCH. We worked with Travis and communication was great(which is not easy to find these days), work was done well, and prices were very reasonable.
Working with Midwest Comfort Homes was a wonderful experience. They were flexible to our schedule and extremely accommodating to our desires and concerns. "TW" as our project manager came out almost every day to inspection and ensure the workers were working to excellent standards. Andre, as the foreman, was extremely knowledgeable and skilled; his skills with the wood floors was excellent. Even when we had some moments where tile work or clean up was less than satisfactory, TW and Andre followed through to make sure that work was done until we were completely satisfied. We are so happy with the results, and would recommend this company to anyone, and we would definitely use this company in the future.
So, is a remodel in your future? If you follow accepted advice, you will look at several companies. But, really --- do yourself a favor and choose MCH. My project was a two-bedroom, two-bath condo on the 6th floor of a highrise built in the sixties. The kitchen was dated and cramped; a wall divided it from a tiny dining space. Both rooms open to a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony. Floors were carpeted or worn engineered wood. Closed-in closets and limited natural light were detriments. The bathrooms needed new lighting and paint. I chose MCH as my contractor, and TW Whetstone was the Project Manager. Despite working within building guidelines restricting work hours and noise levels, requiring advance notice to deliver supplies and reserve the freight elevator, and daily clean-up of common hallways, TW finished my condo on time and within budget. The quality of the work is exceptional. TW's oversight, experience, and attention to detail helped me make the best decisions for the space. Believe it or not, my condo project was easy and fun, and it's a pleasure to recommend the company that did it.
