We started our home building process with Tanya who helped us design our dream home. I showed her some pictures I liked and gave her some specific layout requirements and she took it from there. The design was beautiful and way better than what I could have come up with. I loved the open floor plan and all the windows allowing for natural light. I am a very visual person and having the 3D walk through was helpful for me to "see" what my future home would look like. She was very responsive and made any design changes in a very timely manner. She had great suggestions for things I did not think of. Our next step was the actual construction of the home. After much indecision on whom we should have build our house, we met with Tanya's husband Greg and decided that he was the man for the job. This is the first custom home we have built. I did not realize how much time you spend with your contractor, so you better like them! And we loved Greg. He has a passion for quality. It was more important to have a job done correctly, than to save a dollar. But he did still find ways to keep the costs down and save money during the build too. He has relationships with great subcontractors. He was always accessible. We would call him nights, weekends, whenever we had a question or a thought. If he didn't answer, inevitably he would call back within 5 minutes. He was very easy to communicate with and he always followed up. He was at the job site almost every day, even though we were building in a remote area of Stockton. I know lots of people have horror stories from building a house, but we do not. The hiccups we ran into were minor. Having your contractor married to your architect made it very easy to make minor changes during the build like adding a last-minute closet, or rearranging where you want the bathtub. Greg was very flexible, we used most of his subcontractors, but had a couple of our own that we wanted to use and he had no problem with that. He worked well with everyone. Greg had been so involved in our lives over the last year, that he was almost part of the family. Now that our home is complete it feels like a member of the family has gone away. I highly recommend both Greg and Tanya. Together they make a great team and design and build beautiful homes.

We worked with Tanya for a custom home design and she was great!! She was willing to meet in person whenever we requested, and she was attentive and quick about any changes we needed. She also helped us think through design aspects we hadn't considered and was patient while answering all our questions. 100% would recommend working with Tanya!

Tanya was amazing to work with! She did such a great job drafting the plans for our dream home. I came with a custom house plan that I had personally drawn up. She took the plan and made it come to life while offering wonderful suggestions and ideas that we hadn't thought of all throughout the process. She uses Revit so she's able to create 3D renderings/views of your future house inside and out.

Two of the greatest things about Tanya that I think set her apart from other architects out there (besides her unbeatable price) is one, how thorough and detail-oriented she is, and two, her quick turnaround time and responsiveness! She would send over versions of our plan with 3D renderings/views of the interior and exterior to make sure things were looking how we wanted them. Whenever I asked her to make any adjustments to the plan, she made them either that same day or the next, each time sending me the new renderings/plans to make sure that we got exactly what we wanted.

Overall, Tanya is a great designer and she will help you design the home of your dreams! I would (and have) recommend Tanya to any family member or friend looking for someone to design/draw up the plans for their home!

I had Authentic Homes do some counter tops for me in my workshop. They look fantastic; you really can't tell the difference between these concrete counter tops and quartz! I also appreciated how Greg didn't want to leave until the job was done right and I was happy. Best part... no seams! I never have to worry about a seam coming apart like I have in my kitchen with the granite counter tops. Definitely a great product and service.
