We have had an outstanding experience working with Sean and Alphyn Homes so far. We hired Sean to fully gut our home in Toronto 7 years ago and the quality really speaks for itself! It's still in incredible condition and to this day Sean is still a resource that helps and assists anytime we call!
We hired Sean to help build a custom coach house above our detached garage. The design of the coach house was great and the workmanship is solid. We were well informed of the decisions that we need to make through the duration of the build once the permit was obtained. The process of obtaining permits took longer than expected, but Sean coordinated all of those paperwork and applications for us so we didn't have to navigate the complex city processes. Due to the unavailable usage of our garage during the build, this is an inconvenience that we have accepted but wished the timeline of the build could be better informed so that we can plan and make arrangements accordingly. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I would hire Sean again for other custom builds in the future.
We hired Alphyn to demolish and rebuild our home in Toronto (Aug 2019 - Aug 2020). Alphyn was great throughout the design process and was well informed about all the permits, zoning and work requirements for the area. Very professional and took all things into consideration, with proper documentation. Our Architect and builder (Sean) was with us through every step in the design and build process and allowed the project to exceed our expectations while coming in on-budget. We had some delays due to COVID-19 restrictions but Sean was instrumental in navigating these interruptions to ensure that our project was completed safely during these challenging times. With any project of this size, there will be bumps in the road, but Sean did an excellent job of planning and mitigating any of the major risks and working with us through any minor issues. Would definitely recommend.
