I am a first-time home owner and my husband and I bought a 1950s original side-split bungalow to raise our 2 young children. When we first walked into this house, we knew that it was in dire need of a full renovation as the interior was worn, tired, and it had a strong musty scent (previous owners were smokers and had pets in the basement).
