We asked ARK Builders to build our home in Gulf Shores because Ron Cuny was voted Builder of the Year 2023 by his peers and colleagues. With that kind of acknowledgement, we had no doubt regarding his abilities to build a fantastic custom home for us. That is exactly what he did. His contract price is his build price. With everything we selected throughout the build, we were aware of whether or not we were exceeding the contract price. We used 2 lenders—one for the construction loan and one for the permanent mortgage. Both lenders were extremely complimentary of ARK Builders and Ron Cuny. This build was completed in Gulf Shores, with us living in middle Tennessee. We traveled to GS only twice during the build. Ron communicated very well during the process through texts, emails, photos, phone calls, and conference calls with his subs. The HOA threw us a few challenges that Ron was able to handle swiftly and to their specs. He even worked with our pool contractor to make sure they were on the same page during the build. In the end, after occupying our home for two weeks, we still cannot believe we’re not on vacation staying at some resort. Our home is so beautiful and so peaceful and it is everything we dreamt of when we started this process. Our perfect lot was courtesy of Amy Cuny, ARK Realtors. Son Andrew was also involved in the build as a licensed contractor himself. This is a family that was raised in Baldwin County and remains steadfast to a set of innate values that include honesty and integrity that allows them to provide superior quality in their work.
We cannot say enough how pleased we were for Ron and his team to build our new home. And when things got hectic at the end they really stepped it up! They are honest and fair, and they know homebuilding! Highly recommended!
We had a great experience with ARK builders! Initially, they helped us put on paper the design we wanted in our heads. Our house was designed from scratch with only the ideas we gave Ron for room design. His team came up with a beautiful home design. The building process was promptly begun and work was done daily. Even with supply chain issues, our home was built in a timely fashion. Ron and his staff were always attentive to our concerns and our questions throughout the process. After we moved in, as with any new home, there have been minor issues that need to be addressed and Ron and his team have been extremely prompt resolving these minor issues. We are extremely satisfied with our building experience with ARK builders.
