Reviews often note helpful communication from the owner and practical suggestions during remodel planning. Many customers praise workmanship on larger rehabs and basement or interior updates, with several mentioning fair pricing and follow-up. A smaller set of reviews cite concerns about paperwork, scope clarity, and finish quality on certain projects. Overall sentiment trends positive, with emphasis on responsiveness and value when expectations are clearly defined.
I can't say enough great things about the incredible work Robert did on the full rehab and reconstruction of my home. From start to finish, he was professional, detail-oriented, and completely committed to delivering top-quality results. This was a major project and everything from the foundation to the finishes was redone and Robert handled it all with expertise and care. He brought my vision to life, and then some. Every step of the process was clearly communicated, deadlines were met, and he always made sure I was comfortable with the decisions being made. His craftsmanship is outstanding, the attention to detail in everything from the structural work to the final touches is truly impressive. My home not only looks beautiful, but it’s also built to last.Beyond the technical skills, Robert is just a pleasure to work with. He’s honest, dependable, and genuinely cares about the quality of his work and the satisfaction of his clients. If you're looking for someone to trust with a full rehab or major reconstruction, Robert is absolutely the person to call. I’m beyond happy with the results and would recommend him without hesitation.
Before working with this company, make sure to have your contract in place. I did not, because I trusted them, but I ended up suffering because there was no contract. However, with the help of the Department of Consumer Protection, justice will be served. Since there is no contract, they are acting with too much confidence, even going so far as to accuse the customer of foolishness.
I met Rob on the day I closed for the purchase of my property. I immediately became drawn to his impressive personality and his wealth of knowledge in the building remolding. We discussed ideas for my basement remodel and he gave me some good suggestions. I choose him to get the job done because he has lots of experience and he genuinely loves the job he does. Also, his prices are good and he provides good after care services whenever the need arises.I’ll highly recommend Rob and American home builders and I’ll work with them again.
My electrician suggested I check this place out for cut price high end appliances. I took a ride down to check it out. I was a little apprehensive when I first walked in as there’s no employees per se walking the floor and your kinda on your own to find what you need. You are shopping in the storage warehouse so it’s not set up necessarily like a typical showroom. All products are new dent/scratch items bought in bulk. If you can find it, it’s yours at an unbeatable price. I outfitted my entire $120k kitchen Reno with these appliances and I couldn’t be happier.I got to know Rob and Brad well and they proved to be men of their word and stand up guys. I was on a deadline and was looking for specific brands and models and they worked with trying to find the best conditioned appliances for me. This wasn’t the ideal application when working with other contractors because they want it when they need it and this shop isn’t really setup like that, but Rob more than made up for any inconvenience with even deeper discounts on the stuff in stock. I ended up walking away with an ice machine, in drawer microwave and garbage disposal that I never could afford otherwise. In summary:If you have Champaign taste on a beer budget, if you go in with the expectations of a warehouse type shopping experience and don’t mind a dent or scratch appliance (usually hidden and not on exposed side), there’s no other way your getting top end appliances at these prices. It’s almost insane.I’m writing this review a year later and have not had a single issue with any of the 6 appliances I bought. Same quality as buying new minus the debt/scratch. You will not likely get newer model items to choose from, but they do have a good selection of older models worth their weight in gold. You won’t be sorry checking this place out before you consider spending 3x as much at the big box.
Do not use this company they are sloppy and unprofessional. I Paid $25,000 for fixing the attic wiring, putting some sister joints in the basement, install new tiles in the shower, put new shingles on the roof, new kitchen cabinets, resending the living room wood floor, fix my room from water stains and damage. The roof was done the mudroom he just put one little wood on it didn't fix the mud room, put one sister joint in the basement when talking to Rob he stated he don't see nothing wrong with the other wooden joints clearly had to be fixed stated by the home inspector that's why I was paying, never measured the kitchen cabinets put smaller ones when they ripped out the old ones they made a hole in my wall that they never fixed, the attic they never fix the wiring to code they didn't do anything in the Attic, they just did the roof and a bath tile. I gave this company a full month with nobody living in the house to finish the day I was supposed to move in August that's day that they wanted to start putting in the kitchen cabinets fixing the bathroom fixing everything in a rush did a sloppy job not professional when I told him about the Attic wiring the mudroom and the sister joints he stated he did everything already and the job was done I posted some pictures so you can see that the job wasn't done and I'm still waiting for him to fix the stuff doesn't answer my calls doesn't care about his customers if I were you I will pick another company is company is very bad you will thank me later
