Ryan Homes at Edge at Azalea

We are in the process of closing on the condo. Everything so far has been smooth sailing. Every team member we have encountered from the Sales, Lending, and project team to management has been awesome. Super cool chill and kind heartened people doing everything in their ability to get us in our new home. Just makes any stress wash away because everyone has such a positive attitude. I think I love it here ??

I’ve been following this community since their “VIP List” timeframe and met with Dustin very early on. Dustin is a great sales rep - knows his stuff and gets any questions or concerns you have answered and addressed. He went out of his way to get me into the house that best fit my needs and got me the best deal possible. The mortgage process has also been pretty smooth sailing with Kathy. Met with her after the purchase agreement to collect all the information they needed for the mortgage. She was able to answer my questions and is very diligent with keeping you informed with anything that comes up. Tyler is the project manager and has also been awesome to work with. I’ve probably hammered him down the most with question after question about the home build at every stage but he has been nothing but patient and responsive. He sends me weekly photos of the build, he’s worked with me to schedule third party inspectors to come in, addresses my concerns, and gets me answers to questions I have in a timely manner even though he may or may not know the answer right then and there.

My only gripe with this process is the lack of customization and flexibility in the home design - finishes are packaged, designs are set in stone, and everything’s builder grade for obvious reasons. I tried to get an electric charger installed third party before drywall was put up to avoid having to cut into it later on and was denied that request. I tried to get the condensate pipe rerouted to drain to the exterior rather than the laundry pipe, but was also denied that request. I also wanted to extend the LVP on the second floor, but I couldn’t. I did purchase a quick move-in lot, so I understood there were limitations as materials and plans were already ordered, but I felt like there was plenty of time to make the changes as I brought these requests as framing was just going, it’s just that they weren’t willing to make the changes for me.

Overall, the team I had to work with were great in their individual responsibilities. I think it was big Ryan Homes they couldn’t overstep.

I’ll update this review after the build is complete with additional thoughts.

So far my experience from day one has exceeded my expectations. During my first visit at the model I met Mike and Dustin, both were attentive to my questions and concerns with the ultimate goal of finding the best townhome for my needs. To date securing the mortgage through Ryan Homes Mortgage company has been less stressful than my previous mortgage experiences. The process was made easy by receiving notice of required documentation prior to meeting with Kathy. Kathy was very detail in explaining the financing process and what was to expected throughout the process, her kindness and professionalism really put me at ease.
To date everyone that I have met through this process has been professional, courteous and shown a willingness and the ability to answer my questions.
