Their walkthrough process is thorough, and they do an excellent job addressing the final punch list quickly and on schedule. We recently purchased a home built by Prieb Homes. It is the most poorly constructed home we have ever owned. The floors are all uneven with soft spots under the carpet throughout. The arch design between two of the lower level rooms is so uneven, it catches the eye as you walk in. The appliances are the lowest possible grade available even in comparison to those offered in apartments. The dishwasher actually leans forward out of the enclosure every time the door is opened.
The windows are extremely difficult to open and close.
All of the fixtures, lights, faucets, etc are a mix of the lowest grade available.
We are redoing all of the landscaping as it is by far the worst in the entire neighborhood.
There is no weed barrier installed in the mulched areas making it impossible to maintain. The trees were planted with the burlap sack and wire still in tact around the roots.
The floor plan itself is nice but we will never consider buying a Prieb home again and would never recommend this builder.
