My family and I visited the Dwell at New Haven recently. The remaining detached single family home sites that are still available are first of all: way too over priced, not to mention that the majority of the home sites are just a few meters away from giant power line towers (may be okay for some, but for others power lines can hamper the aesthetics of a house, decrease resale value, can potentially increase your risk of developing cancer). By the way, there's also a diary farm with visible livestock just a few meters away from the perimeter wall of the community (we were riding a golfcart for a guided tour, & the smell was just unbearable that we all have to cover our nose except for our tour guide. I was telling myself maybe she's already so used to the smell). No exact timeline as to when the dairy farm will be relocated (if you don't mind wearing a "one of a kind" cologne each time you step out of your home, then I guess this community is for you). Don't just take my word for it, take some time to visit the site and request for a guided tour around the remaining available lots. Just remember you've been warned.
I had high hopes when my agent scheduled a 1 PM appointment on Tuesday, December 17th, to view a property we were interested in. We arrived on time, only to find a rude, unprofessional wearing glasses lady, who promptly disappeared after briefly acknowledging us. After a 45-minute wait, she returned and, rather than offering assistance or inquiring about our familiarity with the process, she curtly directed us to review the home-buying guidelines.Our attempts to seek clarification were met with further delays and a dismissive attitude. Despite our agent’s efforts to get answers over the phone, we were instructed to wait in person, only to be reminded repeatedly of the office’s busyness. It’s perplexing how an office can claim to be overwhelmed with only one person on duty, especially when that individual lacks basic courtesy and professionalism.After enduring two hours of unhelpful and rude interactions, we’ve been compelled to reconsider our decision to purchase a home through this office. The lack of respect for our time and the unprofessional conduct displayed have left us questioning the quality of service we can expect moving forward.
A lovely and beautiful estate.. A good place to raise kids.. very quiet .. will love to buy a property there soon
