Bought our first home and the experience was great. I am surprised at how fast they're moving along with the exterior / subdivision. All my issues (all minor) from our pre inspection and 30 day inspection was completed quick and professionally. Thank you Devonleigh for everything, we are happy with our home.
We are the 2nd owners of a Devonleigh home nearly 20 yrs later, here in Mansfield. When we did our home inspection, the inspector was blown away at the quality that you don't find in new builds anymore. The care that was put into the home when it was built, simply put, exceeded his expectations. 20 years this home has stood and with age somethings need replacing, windows, siding etc, but for anyone looking at Devonleigh homes, please take this review into consideration. We are a testament as to the quality, care and respect that this home builder has for their clients. Thxs Devonleigh, you've really built a beautiful home!!
See 2024 update at bottom. Our journey with Devonleigh Homes began in May 2020 when we visited a mostly empty Aspen Woods site. We were walking the site and spoke with a young lad with a beard and pony tail (can't remember his name) he was cleaning up the finished houses and making sure doors were locked. He was extremely pleasant to deal with. We also chatted up a new home owner that was extremely impressed with their new home. The next weekend we were in to see Cindy and Caroline at the sales office to sign paperwork for a new home build. The summer flew by with frequent stops at the site to see the progress. It was truly amazing to see the overall cleanliness of their worksite and the organization, other builders should take notes on these subjects..every representative we met from Devonleigh was professional and tactful. We even brought freezies and cold drinks to the framers on the scorching hot days who were a friendly group. Our build progress was quicker than we thought possible, talk about efficient. We had the pleasure of working with a very patient Sandy at the design centre and with Wayne during our pdi who provided us with a wealth of information. Most recently we had communication with Jen in the Service Department and Aaron who performed our 30 day follow up. Have to say we are extremely satisfied with every step of the process and the quality of work, we hope we can provide a one year update with the same feeling. -* April 2024 we are writing this as an update to the original post. We have since moved to our second Devonleigh home. There is something to be said about a company that stands behind their product and makes zero excuses. This builder has the right team of people. We are so grateful for Jen and Aaron and the rest of the team at Devonleigh. We never thought we would move from our first Devonleigh but lucked out and landed in another!
We bought our house from Devonleigh homes in Markdale in April 2023 and moved in on time without delays in Sept.2023. The proccess was smooth. The sales team was great, Sonya and Caroline were extremly friendly and helpfull. Appointment with Angie at decor studio was amazing .Quality is good so far. When we need some little things to be fixed, Jen and Caleb respond very fast. This builder exeeded our expectations.
Homes are very poorly built, cheap, DO NOT recommend purchasing a home built by Devonleigh Homes. I've had my house for 2 years now spent 20k in upgrades and lots of stuff is falling apart. Need a 5 year warranty the way these homes are built.Office staff and Service staff are excellent. thats about it.**Every front door on the street wasn’t clear coated properly and their all chipping. Blaming it on weather LOL. I had people come and they all said the bottoms of the doors missed getting clear coated. Going to get a neighbourhood petition signed and file it to the appropriate legal department and get the doors fixed.To top it off my basement leaked during a rainstorm. I had a window and door gentlemen come. All my caulking under my aluminum sill of the rear door was not tooled so water was seeping in. EVEN BETTER , when we removed the existing caulking they laid the aluminum sill on pieces of mortar, like bits a pieces. I could see in my house. THIS BUILDER IS TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
