New home construction in a planned community, including single- and two-story floor plans, model home tours, purchase contracts for new builds, and coordination through the builder’s sales and construction teams.
Reviews mention appreciation for the community amenities and value relative to other new developments, with several homeowners noting positive interactions with onsite sales and construction staff. Some feedback raises concerns about warranty response times, finish quality issues, and certain design placements. Overall ratings reflect a mix of satisfied buyers and those seeking stronger follow-through on post-close items.
We absolutely love our home at Sage in Palm Desert. We had a very good experience with Ponderosa. The community amenities are now open which include a pool, hot tub, gym, and party room. We don’t regret our purchase and feel as though value for the money was much better than other new home developments.
Ponderosa Homes is a garbage company that does not honor warranty work on defective and faulty products. Quality of work is below subpar and they will lie to you to avoid making warranty work that they promised when you sign the contract to buy their homes.
Looking for a new home go see Casey he will take care off you. I'm a Home owner here and he and his crew Andrew superintendent are awesome. Come and say hi.
This has been the worst home purchase experience that my husband and I have ever had. To this day our spare bathroom bath tub looks stained and always appears dirty. We have had multiple requests to have it taken care of without any results. Outlets placed in wrong location, pendant lights too close together, inside doors that seem to open the wrong way and an air conditioning unit (that we didn’t realize) sits right outside the master bedroom. So you are kept up at night when the unit kicks on. We paid to have ours moved at the cost of $2,000 an expense we didn’t count on but necessary if we wanted a good nights rest!! Yes we even had to get a permit with the City of Palm Desert to get it moved!! We were told by the salesperson Casey that they would build the community pool and clubhouse when a certain percentage of homes were sold. Now over two years after we bought our home there is no clubhouse and no pool yet we have been paying our H.O.A. dues. The latest is that our pool will open on September 19th!! I will believe it when I see it! We would of never bought here had we known that we would be misled about our amenities. That was a big draw for us. Other builders in the area have almost completely built out their developments. Not sure why our developer is slow at building out these homes. The front yards have glorified “dirt” DG topping which did not hold up with the tropical storm we had. We were lucky because we had our front yard redone with rock. Another expense but at least it held up and did not wash away like a lot of the others yards did. Oh yes and when we bought our home we bought it looking at their development plan which showed a single story behind our home. That did not happen. They built a two story behind our home! Their answer said they had a right to change what was built. However on all of my paperwork I have nothing that indicates they may change home model sites. Just a continual disappointment. They told me they would “buy” my home if we were unhappy but at the amount that I paid for it. So basically two years of equity would go down the drain. Typical of how being in SAGE as a homeowner has gone for us so beware!! You have been warned.
A gated, cozy, new, all age housing community, still in the making. This project appears to be about 50% completed in my opinion. It's going to be really nice. I've actually visited two homes, they are selling fast! They are reasonably priced so hurry if you're interested. Property is close to restaurants, shopping, services, schools for young and adults, medical offices and facilities, as well as hospital. There are other vacant properties nearby, in my opinion this entire area is going to explode with new homes and businesses within the next couple years. Drive by and take a look, there are also new apartment communities. Close freeway access. I personally live in this area and I enjoy the conviences.
