I should have mentioned in the initial review that we had an independent inspection done before we closed and our inspector told us your house is a great build. If we ever moved, I would follow this builder.

We moved into our new home in May, 2016 and have been very satisfied with our home. Items on our punch list were completed in a reasonable time period. Samuel Taylor builds a very quality constructed home with many extras that are not used by other builders. There is an old saying that "You get what you pay for"and this is very true with a Samuel Taylor home; a well constructed home for a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to purchase another home from Samuel Taylor Homes.
Darlene in the sales office was wonderful. She was there for us and helped us when any question or situation arose. She kept us informed during the construction of our home by sending emails with photos of the progress as our home was being built.

We would buy a home from Samuel Taylor Homes again without hesitation. Hunter clearly cares that his company delivers a quality and well planned home.

Our home buying process began in May. We had a few areas of the standard floor plan we weren’t happy with and it took a few revisions to get to a final plan we were ready to commit. We weren’t in a rush to buy, so we took an extra few days to think about any decision we were unsure of. Construction of our home began in July and completed in December. It was particularly interesting to compare our progress with a coworker purchasing a new home from D R Horton. Steps that took a week in our home took months for hers. The current estimate has her home complete in over twice the time it took for ours.

While walking through our new home in the framing phase, we discovered an error between the blueprint being built and the plan we had agreed to. We immediately contacted Samuel Taylor Homes and were told that altering our home could be very costly and significantly delay the schedule. The next morning, Hunter directly called me and assured me it would be taken care of. A wall was moved approximately two feet with windows and tray ceilings adjusted to match. This rework obviously delayed construction, but we were not charged a penny to make our home right. This was really a defining moment for our experience. Samuel Taylor homes likely had every right to remind us the dimensions on the website drawings are approximate and subject to change. Instead, they just fixed it.

The only caution we would share is to have your own realtor. Coastal Sun Realty (the realty company associated with Samuel Taylor Homes) has some great people working on their team, but they are not 100% your advocate since they work for your builder. Bringing your own realtor doesn’t cost you anything and gives you someone advocating only for your interests.

When we moved to the area, we were looking at "used homes" to purchase. These used homes were at the top of our budget and needed gutting. And then we found Samuel Taylor Homes. Samuel Taylor quality homes were within our budget, and best of all, brand new. That was a no brainer. We have built numerous homes through out the years and I have to say, none of them had the quality that Samuel Taylor Homes has. There are many items that come with their homes that no other builder provides. Their customer service is unmatched in the industry. We have had very few punch list items that were taken care of immediately. Awesome staff and crews. Wouldn't hesitate to build with them again or refer them. All of our neighbors that we have spoken to, feel the same way about Samuel Taylor Homes. Quality, Quality Quality.
