Finally found new construction in West Plano that’s priced right. I visited Mustang Square last week and was really impressed. The location is perfect — just minutes from my job — and the homes are solid quality. I’m set to move in later this year and the process so far has been smooth. Nick was super helpful

Extremely disappointed with the experience. I do not recommend this builder. This builder's lack of professionalism and accountability has made my first home purchase a nightmare. I paid full price- more than an earlier reduced listing- and still received a home filled with poor workmanship, missing upgrades, and ongoing issues. Issues raised during and after closing were ignored or dismissed. After contracting, My home was used as an open house after being under contract without my consent, leading to visible damage. Repairs were rushed or incomplete, and the communication from the builder's team has been non-existant. The final walkthrough was rushed. I had to personally supervise repairs during work hours, as no representative from the builder would manage it. All my concerns were either ignored or dismissed. Ive kept all my communication. This builder took full advantage of my inexperience, I was completely exploited. I strongly advise all the home buyers, especially the first timers to be extremely cautious, do not assume good faith or fairness feom this builder. Insiting on transparency is a waste of time. Overall, stay away from DR Horton. Update: After posting this review, the builder has not directly addressed my concerns. Instead, they've replied with a generic "contact-us" link while continuing to ignore months of unresolved issues. What's more troubling is shortly after my review, a series of suspicious 5-star reviews were posted by accounts with no history- likely an attempt to drown genuine homeowner experiences. I have full documentation and remain open to resolving things if builder shows a real plan and accountability. But so far, its all been delay, poor quality and inaction.
