I worked with Westward Builders as a designer on a remodel, and they were fantastic to collaborate with. The team was professional, reliable, and detail-oriented throughout the entire project. Communication was clear, the work was well organized, and the quality of execution was excellent. They were responsive, collaborative, and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Top Notch We desperately needed some emergency repairs. It was a fairly small job, and no one else even returned my phone calls. Westward Builders had a carpenter on site the next day to do temporary repairs. They followed up with a complete repair as soon as the required materials could be obtained. They are easy to work with, and do excellent work.

On January 13, 2024, a high-voltage utility pole fell on my house. A friend of a friend referred me to Westward Builders to make the repairs. I have had bad experiences with contractors in the past, but Brian and Peter have restored my faith in contractors and, by extension, with humanity in general. Five reasons why they are so exceptional: 1. The quality of their work is impeccable. I wanted to do more than just a patch job, but make the house better than before. I am thrilled with how it turned out. The house is now solid, well-insulated and really, really pretty. 2. They work with the best subcontractors. From the plumbers to the electrician to the painter, everyone was great to work with and did an excellent job. 3. They're cost-sensitive. As the project expanded in scope, Bryan and Peter were great problem solvers and tried to find a way to do the job more efficiently without sacrificing quality. I really appreciated not feeling gouged. 4. They're responsive. There was no disappearing, no unexplained absences, no ducking calls or not responding to emails. I felt very well taken care of at every step and they were always willing to explain things to me. 5. They're just so goddamn nice. I can't recommend Bryan, Peter and their whole team enough.

The team at Westward Builders is top notch! Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is fantastic, however, what really sets them apart from other local contractors is their thoughtfulness and professionalism. I've worked with many contractors in the Portland area and I have found that it's rare to finish a project without feeling broke, behind schedule, and like you had to make concessions every step of the way. It's a different story with Westward. The help I received from Peter and Bryan during the full remodel/addition of my mid century Portland home is immeasurable. I can't recommend them enough!

Can't say enough great things about Westward Builders. They built me an absolutely gorgeous front gate + small patio in only a couple days time. They effortlessly (on my end!) made my vision come to life, with integrity, a truly keen eye for design and quality craftsmanship (and the wood they used is beautiful!). They were communicative, respectful and super efficient, and I'll definitely come to them again for my next big project this summer.
