I'm a Mortgage Associate here in Regina, and had the pleasure of working with the Gilroy team as part of our mutual client's New Home Build.

I've got nothing but great things to say about their efficiency and communication throughout the build process. From a mortgage financing perspective, these folks are awesome to work with. Both our team and the client were always kept in the loop with regular updates, and I never went more than a few hours without a response if I had a question for them.

Built with them in 2018 and despite our concerns before even signing the exact troubles happened. Beware if considering using Gilroy and if you have doubts don't go forward. Lotsa lip service and dump problems on home owner.

Gilroy Homes delivers quality and customer service. I really cannot say enough about the whole experience. We love our house and fully recommend Gilroy Homes. The reason why Gilroy delivers quality is due to the quality people they employ. They are all professionals that care about quality in their work. There were a few problems, not really with the build, but with the appliances and they immediately came to help us and did major fixes. Take note, when we built with another builder, we were not happy with respect to additional, unknown/surprise expenses, and unauthorised changes to our previous home and not to mention followup was next to zero along with accountability. This is not the case with Gilroy Homes. Gilroy was also very understanding and accommodating with the possession date as our house had not sold. They really care about their new homeowner.

Here are just a few of the people I would like to mention:

Jeff Marchigiano , our sales rep, is ultra accommodating and willing to go the extra mile at all times from showing us tons of homes and designs, tours of our new build and all at a moments notice. He is very professional, funny, friendly and fast to respond to requests and is always following up.

Ken Yackle took the time to ensure we were happy with all of the interior work and made sure it was top quality and was always friendly and accommodating to any changes. Ken does great custom work and takes time to make sure it is done well. Thanks for the barn doors and closets!

Ryan Noble is an amazing professional, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating at all times. Ryan made sure we were pleased with everything and would followup more than once to make sure. Ryan always responds promptly and always has a solution. He arranged to fix everything that went wrong, any minor deficiencies and handled it professionally and timely.

Sheena has incredible modern taste and pulls everything together so well. Sheena was always quick to respond to my email requests for ideas and changes.

Gina was always welcoming when I would run over to get the keys (which was often) from her to see the progress of our new house. She was always personable and always had a smile and we always had a good chat.

We took possession of our home in Sept, 2018 and couldn't be happier. Jeff was our main point of contact throughout the build and we were pleased with how responsive he was to inquiries, issues, and unknowns. Jeff walked us through the process and made sure we were taken care of.

There were aspects of one of their showhomes that we loved and Ronaldo was able to take our feedback and completely rework the house plan to fit our needs. Very happy with the look and feel of our home.

Ryan did a great job while on-site to ensure every detail was taken care of and that any decision required was clearly explained and the options provided.

Gilroy Homes did a great job and we are very pleased.

Built a home with Gilroy back in 2009. It took 12 months longer than "verbally" presented. Our salesman quit half way through the build, the owner relied on a book of "acceptable standards" when quality issues surfaced, emails and phone calls were ignored, the finishing work was substandard, repairs to deficiencies were substandard, the roofing was a disaster. The work to fix the roofing wasn't much better. After having the shingles repaired over a dozen times in 4 years new home warranty got behind us and had the builder's roofer come back and manually tab down all of the shingles. Two months later we lost 1/3 of the shingles on one side of the house. We put in an insurance claim and paid over $10,000 out of our own pocket to replace all of the shingles on a 5 year old house. It has been 2 years and a couple extreme wind storms later (including the one that wiped out half of White City), not 1 shingle has lifted on our roof. The entire build was disappointing from beginning to end. Choose your builder carefully. Read the fine print in the contracts before signing. Do not let the builders law firm represent both parties when it comes to final payment and transfer of possession.
