***Beware of this builder...the subdivision in Buckingham Plantation is a beautiful neighborhood. But, they have built phase 2 and are just now selling phase 3. The developer has sink holes throughout the neighborhood. They did not have the stormdrain system installed right.Took shortcuts throughout the neighborhood,now there is serious flooding in the neighborhood, causing sidewalks to crack,streets to peel up,sinkholes around the drains,sinkholes in homowners backyards. flooding inside garages,backyards completely underwater,they failed to keep the debris from the retention pond up to code. Swimming pools are cracking. garbage cans with debris floating going down the storm drains.As well as mulch and pine straw etc. clogging the drains from flooding.
My home is 11 years old and requires roof and complete HVAC replacement. They have used the cheapest labor and materials on the market. The duct work was installed incorrectly and has replaced. The three tab shingles are only 11 years old and are rotten and falling off. The estimate for the two repairs are in the 30-35 k range. Do your research before you buy!
I have been so pleased with how Angela from horizon home builders have been there for my husband and I since day one. She has stayed on top of everything from start to finish. I am grateful ?? to have met someone that is genuinely concerned about the customers and goes out of her way to make sure things are taken care of in a timely manner. Horizon has a true gem on their hands. I would recommend Horizon to my friends and family. I feel I got the best bang for my buck during times like these. I'm so excited about personalizing this house and making it a great home for my family.
Edit: notice all the 5 star reviews added within days of my review. 7 reviews before mine, then 4 added within days. Seems fishy don't you think?I highly recommend NOT going with this builder for multiple reasons. From start to finish almost every aspect has been overly frustrating for no reason. Now that we have been in our house for a year we are having the most difficult time getting things fixed that are covered under the warranty they FORCE you to buy (from them!) They pocket the money from the insurance then don't fix the issues. We have entry doors that won't close or open correctly. Our flooring is gapping and losing its color inrandom spots. (They claim large gaps are fine, see pictures) The finish on our upgraded kitchen cabinets areflaking off and coming apart. Every step to get these things fixed are met with resistance and ridiculoustime lines for repairs. (Our 30 day move in check list took 4 months to address!) Look at other reviews, you will see how difficult it is to get things fixed. IF POSSIBLE Avoid THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. We have now been in our Horizon home for just over 2 months. Choosing Horizon Home Builders was the best decision we made! The process was easy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. During our final walk-thru, Matt went through the entire house in detail. He is very down to earth and extremely helpful. To this day, when he is in our neighborhood, he still honks when he drives by.
