I could make this review simple and just tell anyone looking for an amazing custom home builder – Steve from Regency Custom Homes is who you need to hire – NOW! My husband and I had quite the journey – a long one that consisted of a previous builder that we engaged with during the architecture process. I count my blessings every day that we realized that other builder was not for us before we got our permit. This meant I was on the hunt for a new builder but also very skeptical because of our last builder and wanted to ensure we made the right decision. I interviewed many builders, most I crossed off the list after the first conversation, but Steve quickly made it to the top of the list, and we are so thankful we made the right decision this time. We knew and felt that Steve was in the corner through everything – including help us get over the finish line to permitting to get our dream home built! Steve listened to us and helped our vision come to life. Here are a few things that set Steve apart from anyone else in the valley:
· Open and Transparent – on costs, plans, timing, challenges. He also treated our budget like his own and we never felt we were doing too much or too little.
· Communication – I am a big communicator (my husband says I over communicate!) so having someone that was quick to reply, and always followed-through when he said, was instrumental to the success and the trust built.
· Experience and Passion – Steve has been in the valley many years and his experience really helped us through the entire process. He became someone we would look for his own opinion on selections and ideas (and he was always right but don’t tell him that, lol).
· Quality – I often joked with my friends and family that he has OCD but isn’t that exactly what you want in a new home – high quality! Absolutely! He has an eye for everything, and he personally held himself accountable for all the trades. He often said “if it’s not a right angle, it’s a wrong angle” We truly appreciated that about him.
· His Team – he has an amazing and strong group of trades that stand behind him. Many (if not all!) have been with him for many, many years and they speak so highly of him. To us, it often felt like they dropped everything for him. The other key to his success is all his trades being able to work together (and we’ve had others tell us their builder only had a trade at a time working but not Steve!) which was critical to the success and timeline. We had NO downtime. He said that was his goal and he delivered.
Our conclusion– we trust him, we recommend him, and we would use Steve again in a heartbeat without a question. We couldn’t have done this without him, and we wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else. Steve & and the entire team at Regency Custom Homes, thank you SO MUCH for making our dreams come true. You are amazing and now a friend!
