Design consultations for new-construction homes, finish and material selections, style coordination across rooms, option pricing review, and guidance on product availability and timelines.
Recent reviews highlight patient, thorough design consultants who offer helpful suggestions and keep appointments organized. Several buyers mention positive experiences with specific staff members and appreciation for guidance through many choices. Older critical reviews cite access and communication frustrations and concerns about follow-up on issues. Overall sentiment trends positive but with some variability tied to logistics and post-visit coordination.
I rarely leave reviews but Renee at the design studio went above and beyond in our final selection appointment. She was extremely patient and thorough and had amazing suggestions throughout the process. One of the best parts of a new construction home made even better by such an excellent design consultant.Highly, highly, recommend Renee if you can ask for her for your appointment!!
We had an AMAZING experience with Borrana, our designer for our new build. Building a new home comes with a lot of options and choices, and is a BIG investment. I’m sure for designers it’s just a day of work and the selection decisions may not be that big of a deal, but was not our experience with Borrana! She was VERY patient as we went through deciding what cohesive look we wanted for each room , plus weighing our financial choices. She coincidently was also the designer who helped us with some questions at earlier pre/meeting visits; as my husband and I wanted to make most of going through all options before our Design Meeting. Borrana has a soft, gentle, and genuine way to suggest and offer ideas and thoughts my husband and I didn’t even think of. This was a great experience. We rated a 4 , not a 5 related to the computer system not showing all possible exterior options , and variations of stone/siding colors of homes already built with those selections. We *thought* a better experience would have been each finished house exterior selections would be found in a system to view in order to make a better decision. Instead, a list of addresses and their exterior selections were provided by Lombardo for us to drive and see. If anyone at Lombardo is reading, I’d happily drive your neighborhoods to take photos of your houses to backfill your system, at the right cost ;)
Do your homework! Know what you like or don’t like. It will really help you along the way.Michael was beyond helpful. He was welcoming and friendly. He really went the extra mile to assist us along the way. It was pretty busy while we were there and he was able to help everyone in a timely manner. He was very knowledgeable, as well! Michael really made our experience amazing!
Very frustrating experience with the Lombardo Design Studio. The first time we went the outside building doors were locked. Looked on our reservation email that provided the address and no information on how to buzz in or open the door. No phone number to call. We drove around the building a few times and finally found a service entrance near the dumpsters to get in. This made us late and frustrated. We returned for another visit and this time the inside doors were locked. We had to drive through a snow storm to get there so we were about 10 minutes late. We knocked and tried to shout through the gaps in the door. We tried calling our salesperson, the design center, and any Lombardo phone number we could find. Again, no answers on the phone calls. If they're going to lock the doors, why can't they put a note with a phone number to call? Or put a door bell? Or answer their phone calls?
Because of the whole management team are poor customers service through out the whole process. We told them about the issues about the built they still didn't fix. We still big hole in underneath our bathroom ceiling light. They try to cover it with their light fixture and try to mud it.
