Highly recommend Meyer Custom Homes, ESPECIALLY if you are truly interested in building a unique and custom home. Eric has an extensive network of contacts / suppliers who can assist through every phase of the project. I worked with one of his recommended architects to get my vision on paper, and then Eric suggested modifications to make it cost effective to construct. His interior designer helped ensure that my exterior color choices in brick, Hardie panels, wood, etc were complementary; his finish carpenter created custom shelving; and his assistant Amanda was available to walk me through every phase of the decision-making process. It was truly a collaborative process. Eric was open to making changes as we progressed, was upfront about added costs (but did NOT nickel-and-dime every change) and contacted me immediately when we encountered some issue that required re-direction so we could resolve together.
Eric and his team went above and beyond on our basement remodel. Every aspect was done with great care and detail. They were great to work with, very professional, personable, and timely. Every request we made was completed above and beyond and exceeded our expectations. Eric set the bar very high. This was a very stress free and worry free project for us because of it. We truly enjoyed working with Eric and will be using him for any and all of our future projects. I selected Eric Meyer to transform my 1,000 square foot basement into a living space in January 2021. The positives started almost immediately when he made change suggestions to my original layout I had drawn up making the design and functionality of the finished basement even better than what I had envisioned. What makes selecting Eric as your builder so worth it is the following experiences I had: he’s very willing to work with you on things you can change to lower your cost, or to allow you to do certain things yourself to keep your costs down or reduce it. He is highly customer focused; he tries hard to make sure you, as the customer, is satisfied all along the journey. The contractors he uses are ALL professional, friendly, customer focused and clean up after them selves. Every contractor I spoke to told me they love working for Eric because he’s fair, communicates and plans the construction project well with them and pays them immediately after the job is done. And that pay issue, I found out, is very important because when Eric tells you this contractor is going to be at your home on a certain day, they’re there. There were never any “no-shows”. The city building inspectors speak very highly of Eric and his company and all of them told me the same thing, “If Eric has done it, they know coming in it will be done right before they even show up.” If you want a pretty stress free construction experience you’d be smart to select Eric and I can’t recommend him strongly enough.
