Picked Carefree to build our future home. We’ve been very pleased with their professionalism and communication on each stage of our home process. A lot of other builders “upgrades” are standard with them. Their craftsmanship is quality. We’ve popped in several times and the job site is always clean , the workers are friendly and respectful. July 2023 after moving into our home we were told about their Warranty service and let me say Service it is!!!
The process of purchasing a home with CareFree Homes was overall a great experience. Britt, our realtor who also works for CareFree Homes, was an amazing person to work with throughout this experience. She was always available when we had questions and she made sure that we were taken care of. If you ever need a realtor in the St. George, Utah area, I would definitely recommend Britt Snow. The home is absolutely gorgeous and appears to be made with very good quality and has a lot of nice features that are included like 2" blinds, epoxy floors in the garage, built in storage in the garage, etc. Jeromy is the super and has been dedicated to fixing any issues we have had. On the day of orientation there were a few things still needing repairs, but Lexie Weeks made sure to include that in writing and they have promised that it will get taken care of. They have a 30 day, 6 month, and 12 month warranty appointment, so I will post an update on how that goes once complete.
Update: we moved in to our house a month ago and we are SO pleased with the results. You can tell that Carefree puts a lot of care and attention into their designs. Our house was a spec home (which seems to be pretty common right now with the market the way it is) and I was preparing myself for a house like the spec homes of other builders I’ve seen (e.g. cheap materials, no character, throw it up and get it sold asap kinda thing) but I am amazed at the workmanship and attention to detail in every aspect from the architecture to the finishes that set this house apart from the cookie cutter houses other builders are popping up. To name a few, I was stoked to see a completely tiled walk-in master shower, tiled second bath tub/shower, cabinetry in the entire laundry room, a built in patio downstairs and walk-out balcony upstairs, epoxied garage floor, built in garage shelves, etc.As with any new construction, there were a few small hiccups before and after move-in, but Carefree remedied the situations quickly. Carefree also prices their houses very fairly for what you get. I’m forever glad I went with them. I’ve told everyone I know that if they ever want to build a house they should look at Carefree homes first.We are so excited to be working with Carefree Homes! We are officially under contract with them to build our first home, and we've been so impressed with them so far. We are a young family and first time homebuyers, and in this market it feels like people in our position are more likely to miss out when big businesses and investors can come in and outbid or promise to pay in cash, and most sellers go with them instead. But through the entire process so far, Carefree has treated us like we're VIP clients! I've heard so many nightmares about buying a home right now, but Carefree has made it a breeze! I also appreciate that their pricing is really fair for the St. George Market. While many sellers are exploiting market conditions, carefree has offered fair pricing and even gifted us some upgrades in our home without raising the price! Lexi has also been great! She's so helpful and informative. She was also so kind and patient with us when we kept bugging her because we were so eager to get under contract! We can't wait until our house is done and we can update our review about the quality of our home!
Carefree Homes builds a beautiful home. We contracted with them through the horrible housing crisis. The construction and attention to detail is amazing. I was surprised at what was considered standard, blinds, epoxy floor in garage, shelves in garage, tile in all showers, upgraded cabinets, etc. I have a huge list.They have a construction supervisor, Colin Carter, that is the best we have ever seen. As soon as he received the paperwork he met with us. He gave us his phone number and if we had any questions he checked it out and got right back to us.The only problem we had was the communication with us on why it was taking so long (19 months). We felt like there should have been updates. Even if they had no materials and backed up we feel like they should have had some communication to help people through this process.Having said that, I would buy another home from Carefree Homes. This is beautiful and well constructed.
We have worked with the Carefree Home's team and can't say enough good things about them. They have a different style, set-up, and process than most local builders (they are new to the area but have an upstanding and well-respected history of building homes in Texas), and have brought their expertise to Southern Utah. You can't beat a family-run company that really cares about their clients!I would definitely consider them for any of your home building needs. They are one of the preferred home builders in the Desert Color master-planned community.
