My sister and her husband have been “working” with this company for months. Constant mistakes with the plans. Finally straightened out. Waited 3 months for the stamped plans, and those plans were WRONG!!! If they can’t get the plans right, how can they be trusted with site prep and build?
Our small experience visiting was honestly eye opening! The fact that the we were immediately met with feeling like we were annoying the sales rep by being there to him telling us what we can/cannot afford. Several emails left unanswered for simple questions. They clearly feel they can pick and choose what customers they want. Which is funny because last I knew everyone’s money is green..super unprofessional and I absolutely would not recommend visiting while searching for a modular/manufactured.
They sell you a good story until something goes wrong. The quality of the homes are shoddy. Everything from loose plumbing vent. Electrical shorts, cracks they won’t fix. Employees stepping through the ceiling Sheetrock, not venting the decking floor furnace, etc. I’m sick of thinking of all that went wrong. Build a stick house
Building a home is a process no matter who you go through. There are ups and downs and it can be a lot. Our interior guys were amazing and worked so hard to get everything done as quickly as they could and were very professional. Corey and Lori were there whenever we needed anything, and everyone was super nice. We love our new home!
Do NOT use American Homes! Go somewhere else. They are disreputable and do not finish the homes they put up. What is finished is done shoddily and incorrectly. We spent $200,000 on a model home that is literally unfinished a year after it was put up. The siding is falling off as I write this and the interior is a sad mess that will cost me almost the price of the home to correct. They are careless and did not even cover the kitchen counters in the new house when they used it to put their tools, paint and plaster on it. I had to hire a professional clean up crew after they left. Even their own workers complailned to us about how fast they are expected to turn over a home. They destroyed a $3,500.00 refrigerator that arrived on site in perfect condition. They admitted they crushed it and did not fix or replace it. The house looked better when it was delivered to us than after they put it together. If you don't believe me go to Yelp, The NYS Attorney General's Page, and google reviews to see. This is not a review. It is a warning to find another wholesaler for your needs.
