On July 31, 2025, Kitsap County granted us the certificate of occupancy for our Coval built home. If you are considering having a custom home built, we ‘strongly’ recommend Coval; we cannot be happier with the home that we are moving into. They have a great team and allow you to customize an existing plan to your desires.The Coval staff were outstanding: Miranda Beagley (Customer Concierge) greatly helped us with change orders and planning; Michelle Daniel (Product Line Manager) gave numerous wonderful ideas on how to improve on what we were planning, Paula Rippen (Finance) was responsive, kind and helpful, and finally Jason Pare our Project Manager was absolutely the best. He was on top of every single detail and did an unbelievable job of coordinating and managing the work of the contractors. Speaking of the contractors, their work was uniformly great. Finally, Coval wisely recommended that we hire a permit consultant to help with the county permitting processes. They suggested Tia Schwarz (FastTrack Permitting). Tia was magnificent; we would not have been able to complete the process on our own. We can’t thank her enough for all her work.We signed up for an existing plan as a base, and then extensively customized it. A partial list of changes we made included expanding the home size by moving a wall, changing the roof pitch, vaulting the ceilings and adding a large garage. We also added skylights, extra windows, a fireplace with a mantle, a heat pump, window wrap, and even a large covered entry.In summary, working with Coval was a great experience. Each Coval person was nice to work with, and they cared about our home. We are very pleased with our custom home, and the quality of the end product. We confidently recommend Cova Homes.

My wife and I purchased the 2734 floor plan, and we're happy we went through Coval Homes. We live in an area where all the homes are newer and built by 4 or 5 different builders. We get compliments ALL the time from our neighbors as Coval's signature oversize windows stand out among all the rest.When I contacted Coval initially, I knew absolutely NOTHING about building a home. In fact, I'm not even allowed to do repairs at home :)! My wife banned me long ago..Gary was patient and connected me with a knowledge Realtor who guided me through the process. I have since recommended Coval to everyone I know who are thinking about buying or building a house. It's a lot less expensive to build than to buy in this market, so to me it is was a no brainer.Like any major project, there were a couple of little bumps in the road, but my Project Manager (ED) handled business and made sure things were taken care of to my satisfaction. Ed was on top of his game, and his attention to detail and customer service was world class.
