To begin, I genuinely loved my home. The craftsmanship, design, and overall aesthetic that Shawood (sekisui house ) delivered exceeded expectations. There are also individuals within the organization who were professional, attentive, and clearly took pride in their work—those people deserve recognition.However, what was once a positive and proud homeowner experience has deteriorated into something profoundly disappointing.The issue at hand is not ambiguous. My Mercedes G63 AMG alongside landscape sustained significant overspray damage—(while Shawood was painting the next house) damage that has been independently verified and substantiated through testing and direct evidence. We are not discussing a minor inconvenience; we are discussing tens of thousands of dollars in damages, approaching $50,000 for the car alone. I personally took the initiative to investigate, document, and even demonstrate the source of the issue. Despite this, Shawood and its affiliated entities— sekisui and Richmond American—have chosen not only to deflect responsibility but, more concerningly, to ignore repeated attempts at resolution.Multiple outreach efforts have gone unanswered. No meaningful engagement. No accountability. No ownership.What is particularly disheartening is the contrast between the brand image and the actual post-sale experience. This is a company that showcases its homeowners—myself included—on its own website, yet when a legitimate issue arises, the response is silence and denial. The cognitive dissonance is staggering.The persistent deflection of blame, despite clear evidence, reflects a troubling lack of integrity in customer service practices. It gives the impression that once the transaction is complete, the homeowner becomes an afterthought—regardless of the severity of the issue.I wanted to remain a strong advocate for Shawood. In fact, I was one. But the manner in which this situation has been handled has irrevocably eroded that trust.I would not recommend anyone to buy these houses until they make substantial changes to their personnel and approach.
Qualities are simply amazing, Typical of the Sekisui brand. As in Top Japanese developer for the last 100 years, we are so glad that Shawood (Sekisui projects) came to Temecula. We really love love our home! Moving from the upscale custom home we built in “Trails” in R.B., San Diego, Shawood did not disappoint us., so happy to be here.
Shawty work, overpriced, track home, poor quality that is not worth the value at all.
