James Applegate at D.R. Horton is absolutely exceptional. After our home was damaged in a fire, James went above and beyond to help our family find the perfect new home. He thoughtfully suggested a property that included a washer, dryer, and fridge, which made an overwhelming situation so much easier for us. James was always available, answering calls on his cell and even taking time to speak with me on his days off. His professionalism, patience, and genuine care made us feel supported and prioritized throughout the entire process. He truly represents D.R. Horton in the most positive and trustworthy way. We are so grateful for his guidance, dedication, and personal attention. Anyone would be lucky to work with James.

James was a great to work with in finding our new home. We purchased our home last summer. He presented different scenarios of what our potential financing options were, he took the time to show us both communities with available homes here in Temple. Overall he was patient, professional and very knowledgeable.

I spoke with and worked with James Applegate in the summer of 2025 while house searching with my wife. We were buying our first home, and we had interacted with a few sellers in the area who were trying to take advantage of our lack of knowledge. We were very comfortable with James, he was straight forward and honest with us throughout the buying process, and he truly went out of his way to make sure we were being taken care of with regards to our interactions with the builder as well as our understanding of the costs that come with being a first time homeowner. He made sure to be available when we called with a last minute request to look at houses, and I would say his handling of us was a big reason we ended up going with DR Horton. He still checks in on us from time to time even though we’re not buying. Class act, great human being, cannot recommend enough.
