This is the third major building project that Picklo Homes has done for me. They build a high quality home and at a fair price for the quality. The team is great to work with and any bumps along the way are always worked through professionally. I highly recommend them.

I had a pool casita with an outdoor kitchen constructed, and this was my first project with Nick - was very impressed with the proposal/planning process, the attention to detail during the project, the importance of meeting timelines by Nick, and the final product that was delivered. Would use Picklo Homes again and recommend them whole-heartedly!

Our Dream Home Experience with the Picklo’s

You always hear horror stories when it comes to builders and contractors, so naturally, my husband and I had some trepidation about choosing the right custom builder for our home. We met with several builders during our search, but the Picklo’s stood out right away. We met with them on several occasions, and all their references checked out—everyone had nothing but great things to say about them.

What impressed us the most was their long-standing relationships with their contractors and vendors—many going back over 30 years. That really spoke to their integrity and the way they do business. After more than a yearlong courtship, we finally decided to take the leap of faith.

Once the build started, it was almost scary how smoothly everything went—and that’s saying a lot, because my husband is not always the easiest to please! The Picklo’s kept us informed every step of the way and never let our house sit idle. I’d be lying if I said there were no issues—things always come up during construction—but they worked diligently to handle every single one, even when it wasn’t really their responsibility.

I could go on all day about our experience with this builder, but I just want to take a minute to talk about Terry and Shaun. Terry, the owner, was always upfront and communicative. He made great suggestions whenever something in our plans didn’t quite fit the reality of the build. His experience and knowledge made such a difference in helping us get our dream home. He also doesn’t tolerate sloppy work from his contractors, which we really appreciated.

And then there’s Shaun—the rock star! He oversaw our project and never once left us wondering what was going on. He always answered our calls (and believe me, there were a lot of them!) and never made us feel like we were a bother. Shaun was always smiling and quick to take care of any issue, even when it wasn’t technically their problem. If I wanted to make a last-minute change, he took it in stride and made it happen with a smile. I absolutely love him!

Bottom line: I would recommend the Picklo’s over and over again—110%! The integrity of this team is impeccable, and that’s something you don’t find very often these days.

We had an excellent experience with Terry and Nick Picklo. This house is our third custom home build so we have been around the block with the custom home building experience and can say that we had a great team. Nick helped me design my home with the architect and knew exactly what my aim for the house was from only a few photos as well as adding design elements to make it truly shine. He also designed my smart house automation (including my automated shades) and is still there for me 2 years later when I have questions! Terry kept everything running smooth and used his years of experience to keep things moving on track.
