I have recently moved into my new home built by Garrett Homes. With extensive search for my new home i realized the building was my best bet. After hearing some many conflicting opinions from others about builders I was a bit worried at first.After initiating work with Garrett Homes, Susan and the team have guided me seamlessly through the process. My concerns were quickly replaced with confidence in the team. This was my first time building, and although Garrett homes are not a custom builder they worked with me to make sure I was happy. The team provides quality work, with very professional and competent talent.My favorite part was unlimited accessibility and transparency to the work in progress. Unlike many builders I met with, this one does not provide false hope in over upgraded model homes or hidden fees. I absolutely loved the process and would highly recommend Garrett Homes to anyone looking for a great builder!!!
4.5 Overall, our experience with Garrett was great, minor details, but we love our house!We are first-time homeowners; working with Susan Borowski made the process much easier. She was always available for us to hear our concerns and answered our questions. She worked hard for us; I can say that she took care of us on a personal level. Thanks, Susan!The rest of the team was also great, very welcoming, open to answer questions, and willing to provide solutions to our "special" requests when possible. Thanks, Andrea, George, and the rest of the team!The biggest challenge for us was to track the construction progress; we were able to see some of the progress because we lived nearby and drove by the construction site every day. Otherwise, we didn't receive as many updates as we wanted. A suggestion to Garrett: please allow or schedule more visits to the construction site. If, for safety reasons, this is not possible, try sending a weekly or monthly update on the progress, including photos or video.We loved our house design! Even though Garrett has a considerable selection of materials and products, must of them were a bit "traditional." We had to make upgrades or request some customization to make our design more modern. The team helped us with those changes, but we wished they had more contemporary selections, especially in lighting and plumbing fixtures.The only no so pleasant experience was with the granite vendor. We wanted to explore every option, but he pushed hard into looking only at the "affordable" options. That made us feel like he was judging us by the way we look. In the end, we chose something that matched our budget and taste but didn't enjoy the experience with him.Recommendation for future customers: read the contract very carefully and ask all the questions you have even, if you think are obvious. Be patient and schedule extra visits to the construction site to monitor the progress. During the final inspections check for dents, cracks, and details.You'll receive a high quality, beautiful home, enjoy the ride!
We recently built a new home with Garrett. The over all experience was near perfect, however, we did have wait quite a while until our project got started. But once it did, things went very smoothly. The Real Estate Team was awesome. Susan was our primary contact with the Builder and she did a fantastic job. She was very friendly, knew the business, and represented our interests well in working with the Builder and his Team.This is the second new home we have built. With any new home build, there are going to be issues. Our first new home build (not with Garrett) was quite awful, so we know how bad things can get. Our experience with Garrett was the opposite. We would definitely recommend Garrett Homes to anyone wishing to build a new home.
We love our new Garrett Home ranch. The company has great options for tile, flooring, granite, and cabinets. My only suggestion would be to have the same excellent options for cabinet hardware, backsplashes, and paint options. Everyone that has visited our new house loves it!!
We loved the process of constructing a new home from scratch to finish with Garrett homes. Susan and Annette made it very comfortable, no stress or sleepless night. Susan does a very thorough job of documenting and signing off all agreed changes and the builders honor those commitments. George made it easy for the final closure as well without any pressure. So far, we have enjoyed our new home, of course with some teething issues. We hope the long term quality of construction is going to be good too. This is a wonderful location.
