I had many interactions with the guys at rockwood and I must say these guys are very polite, knowledgeable and they never hesitate to return your calls or emails. Vince goes above and beyond to please his customers.

One star is too much credit for these people. During the purchase process arrogance and rudeness was constatnt, including their realtor Randy. If you are buying on the Summerside area in London, go to the planning department on the city office and Check for catchbasins on the property you're buying. The plans they showed us didn't have a catchbasin. We got a double cachtbasin on our backyard which was purposely covered in order for them to sell the house. When I asked Richard about it he said "well the sand had to go somewhere". Now with the size and the dip of the catchbasins we have an unusefull backyard.

Vincent, you’re not telling the entire truth. You’re omitting the fact that you COMPLETELY COVERED the catch basin when you were selling the homes. The terrain appeared to be totally levelled (I have pictures and Google satellite images) and there was no sign of a catch basin. Do you honestly think we would’ve bought this house if we knew that?

You claimed that it was my responsibility to ask the City for the site plan, but of course, no one looks for a pink elephant unless you’re aware that it might exist. And who in the world builds a house on a lot where there’s a catch basin? Specially a company as renowned as you guys. We would’ve never thought this kind of thing could happen, specially when you buy an expensive house, from an apparently honest company.

Also, the “premium” you offered was so low that it didn’t even cover the closing costs if we were to buy another home. I don't think anyone likes losing hard earned money? Plus, we had already invested money in our house cause we had been living here for more than 2 months when the landscaping contractors came to install the grass and uncovered a catch basin!! Total joke!

We paid the same money that our neighbours did, but now, our home is worth less
cause it has a useless backyard with an ugly, double catch basin in it.

About the TARION reports… it was YOUR duty to fix the issues we reported! And that’s why we paid $800 plus for that service. That has absolutely nothing to do with the catch basin.

Bottom line, you lied to us, you covered a catch basin to sell us a home, we kindly requested a few more days for the closing day and you denied that to us. Little did we know the reason for that was that you wanted to sell that house ASAP before the catch basin was discovered.

You also mention you contacted me twice, but what you’re not saying is that in neither of those calls did you've offered a solution, I fact you were very arrogant, and you ONLY contacted me 4 months after I wrote this review! Catchbasins are great as long as your customer KNOWS prior the home purchase. I also wonder why I can't see this review on different computers other than mine... Very fishy.

Update May 16 2023: Our lights shut off and come back on their own time!

Vince and Richard were great to deal with when buying our home. They were professional and responsive. Richard, the builder/site supervisor has always been around and available for any questions or concerns. We had a few warranty items on our 1-year and they were swiftly remedied.
