This experience has been one of the worst experiences ever. From the day we looked at the property, to attempting to sign a contract (which took over a week due to the sales rep not drafting it properly), the walk thru being disorganized, the inspection report was not delivered to the builder in a timely manner after being sent over, repairs were not completed before we moved in and we were promised everything would be completed in a 4 day window, which repairs did not even begin until 2 days before closing and the only repairs done were some paints scuffs. Skip forward to not living in this for even 60 days currently and I’ve experienced my oven breaker not working (I did not have a functioning oven for 3 weeks), my shower doors leaking and currently not having my shower doors replaced in over a week with zero communication, the granite in the bathroom has already broke, the lights in my master bathroom never worked before we moved in and were never replaced as promised, and the lights in my vent-a-hood have never been installed. Paint is cracking in the front bedrooms, my flooring had to be replaced already, the cabinet drawers won’t stay shut, the wood above the garage is already rotted and the paint is missing, the screens to my windows were never put on and left in my master closet for us to complete ourselves, my attic door had to be completely replaced and then the old attic door was left in my garage apparently for my disposal, the water was turned off without our knowledge prior to moving in and my sprinkler system is yet to be operable, the shelves in my pantry slope and everything falls off, etc. Communication with the builder has not been pleasant and now they are refusing to send the PO to the glass company to reinstall my shower doors. Mind you, we paid cash for this house, we paid exactly what the builder asked after being quoted an incorrect price and we have had the worst experience in having a house that should be livable able to be properly lived in. This was a model home that we purchased and the second home we purchased in this neighborhood, because our first experience wasn’t bad, but this round has been awful.
I recently worked with Logan Chipman at Dove Hollow and actually had signed a contract to purchase a lot, with the home being built and expected to be ready in August of 2025.We live out of state in Connecticut and will be moving to Texas, so obviously there are a lot of moving parts. Logan was nothing short of outstanding as he shared information with us, showed us homes, and was very easy to work with.We ultimately had to withdraw due to timing and a change in location, but I can't say enough about Logan and his professionalism and his commitment to the customer. I would highly recommend Dove Hollow as a wonderful community! The homes are very unique in their design and available at an affordable price point.Once again thank you so much Logan for all you did.
