I first met Scott, Lanham, President of Accessible Home Builders in 2022 while I was back east in Delaware visiting family. As a 50 year resident of California, and a 2021 widow, I made the decision to build a home back east to be closer to family. I first discovered one of Scott’s new builds while my sister and I were looking for land. We walked through the property and I called Scott to set up an appointment. After that first meeting with Scott, I knew he would be building my home. Later that year, I gave Scott a sketch for the vision of my new home.Fast forward to 2023. My sister found a piece of land and I made an offer and closed in April. In June after multiple conversations, I had a construction agreement with Scott. It was at that point the process began for obtaining all the necessary documents and procedures before the build could start. In August, the construction began, and my foundation was laid. Scott informed me it would be 5 to 6 months before I could move into my new home. It was 5 months.Scott is a man of integrity and very high standards for his clients. Scott was extremely patient with my sister who did all the interior design work and me living 3,000 miles away with all my frequent calls with questions about the build.Many thanks to Scott for his patience and understanding while I grieved leaving my other sister Lisa and close friends in California. Many thanks also to my sister Lyndell for designing a show place, Catherine for her listening ear and for keeping my requests moving, Pedro for being such a talented supervisor and all the other workers who made my vision a reality.
