Hagood Homes

We are very impressed with Hagood Homes and proud that we chose them as our builder. Their agents, Hannah and Nora, worked diligently to help us find the perfect lot and the perfect model. The staff was helpful and patient as we made many, many iterations of the house. They provided daily updates including pictures as the house was constructed, which was important to us as we didn't live near our new home. Their quality, attention to detail, and desire to ensure all our wants and needs in our new home are met are a just few of things that make Hagood Homes a wonderful builder.

We went under contract with Hagood homes at the end of December for the construction of our new home in Oyster Harbour. I want to bring attention to Nora and Hannah. It has been such a pleasure working with these two professionals.They have been so responsive to our needs. We live in a different time zone and couldn't always make available time during normal business hours. They worked late and on weekends to have zoom meetings with us to fit our schedule. They are very knowledgeable of the building process and what Hagood has to offer. We were able to come down in the Wilmington area for 3 days in October. They dedicated 3 days of their time every waking hour if needed to show us numerous homes in different phases of construction and completed model homes. Lisa and I decided that Hagood Homes should build our dream home after considering several firms in the area. They had come highly recommended by my brother and his wife who also used Hagood to build their home. Since we expect this to be our forever home, Lisa was very interested in having high-end details like wainscoting and crown molding. Most builders offer these details as upgrades. After meeting with Nora and Hannah, we learned that these are standard with a Hagood home. We also liked that we could customize the home to fit our needs. Once we had decided on Hagood, we then had to choose from one of there many available models. With so many beautiful options, it took some back and forth, and many phone calls before we settled on the Pointe Harbor. The feature that really sealed the deal for us was the one-of-a-kind screened in porch with the cathedral ceiling. Hannah and Nora were patient and knowledgeable answering each of our dozens of questions. The selection process was a pretty exhausting 3 days, but it was very organized and every detail was covered. Hagood has samples of many of the design choices right in their offices and everyone was extremely helpful. Shelbi, in particular, went above and beyond helping us design the perfect home for us. While we are still a few months from closing, progress on our home has been well documented and communicated by our Project Manager. We are looking forward to our home's completion and to moving in this spring. We would highly recommend Hagood Homes to anyone building in the area.

So far, awesome! We are really excited to have chosen Hagood Homes to build our dream retirement home in Oyster Harbour, near Holden Beach. Hannah and Nora have been great in getting us to where we are today. Our build should be starting soon and every Hagood model home and build site we have visited have been nothing short of positive. We are going with a Cape Lookout model with some personal modifications.

We found that Hagood provided quality work and included important features to their homes. Their "standard" features included beautiful high end molding, ship lap, 8' doors, and slow-close quality cabinets. We feel that the foam insulation throughout the home also made it a great value since it will save us on heating and AC bills while making the attic a very comfortable/usable area for storage. Because of their numerous standard features, we had very few "upgrades" needed to meet our needs. Staff was responsive and tried to meet our requests during planning and construction despite supply chain issues. Hannah, the Hagood real estate agent, was very helpful in all stages and went out of her way to address our questions and concerns. She made the whole process enjoyable.
