Overall, we had a good experience with Lexar and are grateful. Our home is lovely & will serve us well for the years to come. There were a couple of minor hiccups but that seems normal during a new build. Overall, it was a smooth process.

We gave 4 stars since there is always room for improvement but we are quite pleased!

Pros:
Scotti & Andrew were amazing during the beginning process. Stephanie in the office was easy to work with & did a great job of facilitating all the draws. Skyler was quite talented and was responsive. He provided a flowchart of how things were expected to progress! He was patient with all our questions & pictures regarding said questions. Lexar gave us a timeline for completion & they stuck to it. The foundation went in in mid 06/24 & we rec’d the cert of occupancy 2/28/25. There were no unexpected delays or hidden/add’l costs. The spray-in insulation is awesome! The painters did a great job. The countertops are gorgeous. The tile installer (Troy) was detail oriented. The flooring installer (Todd) was a savant with flooring & we could not be happier with his work! The cabinets are beautiful & quiet! We had Lexar add ceiling fans in the great room vault & in each bedroom. The electrician did a nice job & added additional outlets & lighting where we requested. Conversely, the electrician put our 4 exterior lights on the rear of the house at different heights; Lexar was able to correct the issue. We had Lexar add noise reduction insulation in the interior walls to help with acoustics. We added add’l windows in each bedroom to allow for more natural light. The windows were placed high on the wall for privacy & are 2x6 double sliders. They look incredible. It was easy for us to have Lexar add a 3rd garage bay with a welding outlet & a generator outlet to the exterior of the 3rd bay. I like the keypad entry on the front door & wish that they had put one on the backdoor as well. We have 2 outside water spigots (E & S walls) but I wish we had one on the other side of the house (W wall/garage) as well.

Minor cons:
We were unimpressed with the framing team (lots of significantly twisted boards & nails shot into nothing. We were assured multiple times that it was not an issue…but we are starting to wonder now since a board is pushing out in our entertainment/great room area & a screw/nail is also walking out in the same area). We were also displeased with the plumbing company they used; there were several comebacks to address issues with the quality of work but fortunately, all issues were addressed & corrected prior to our occupancy & we have not had any issues since. The subfloor is starting to squeak already. Since moving in in March 2025, we have had a couple of minor issues & Lexar (David) has been responsive & quick to correct them while communicating timing & expectations. One thing that is quite unfortunate-the exterior caulking on the siding has cracked & now there is a gap between the pieces of siding; some gaps are large. This issue happened in less than a year of application & is NOT covered by the warranty, so now we are left footing the bill to correct/repair it. We were told the gaps should not be an issue since the home is wrapped but now the siding ends are exposed to the weather which seems like a risk to us. Why use that product if it is known that it will not last more than 6 months in our sunny hot Eastern Washington environment? What is used in AZ, NM, CA, TX, etc.? The sun heats up the walls & hot water comes out of the taps until the lines are flushed for a bit. I am not sure if the water lines are between the insulation & exterior wall or between the insulation & the interior wall but this is unfortunate & has been excessively hot a couple of times. I am hoping they do not freeze this winter. The dryer vent heats up a section of our bathroom floor…not sure if this is an insulation issue or something else. Least favorite: interacting with the owners towards the end of the project. I did not feel valued as a customer & during our brief exchange of pleasantries.

My family and I have had the BEST experience with Lexar out of Yakima WA. They were professional throughout the whole process. They have this meeting with you and it includes what expectations are, they listened to our questions and did all of our custom needs throughout and made sure it was how we wanted it, right down to the finishing nails. Okay we weren't THAT picky, but they 100% would have done that for us haha. When we walked into their office, they greeted us as if we are their family. Any questions that we had with the build they immediately called back or answered right then and there! during our final walkthrough, when we signed off that everything was ok, we had the wrong thermostat and they made it out THE NEXT DAY just to make sure that they provided us with the correct, high end, thermostat. These people are so great at their jobs and we highly recommend this location. If we had to choose a builder again, it WOULD be Lexar! THANK YOU Skylar, Andrew, Scotti, and the whole team for making our dream home in such record time!

I've had a really great experience working with Lexar. All the employees I have met have all been super nice and helpful. Anytime I had questions, they did a great job explaining things to me. They are patient, fair and professional. Whenever we had any little hiccups, they took care of it with no issues. They do a quality job. I would definitely build with them again.
