Boston Heating & Air Conditioning

The team at Boston Heating & Air Conditioning replaced our entire HVAC system last month including the furnace, air conditioner, and all the ductwork. It was a major project but they handled it well. The installation took three days and a crew of four technicians was on site each day. They were organized and communicated well about what they'd be doing each day and any disruptions we should expect. The old system was removed cleanly and the new equipment was installed with care. They pressure tested the new ductwork and performed a full system commissioning before signing off on the job. Boston Heating & Air Conditioning also handled all the permit paperwork and scheduled the final inspection with the city. Everything passed on the first inspection, which I'm told doesn't always happen. The project came in on budget and the quality of the workmanship is evident. We've been running the new system through both heating and cooling seasons now and it's been excellent. The house is more comfortable and our utility costs have decreased meaningfully.

I contacted Boston Heating & Air Conditioning after noticing that our energy bills had been creeping up over the past few months without any obvious explanation. Their technician came out and performed a comprehensive system evaluation. He found that our ductwork had several significant leaks in the crawl space that were causing conditioned air to escape before reaching the living areas. He sealed the ducts with mastic and also added insulation to the exposed sections. The difference was immediate. The system didn't have to run as long to reach the set temperature and our next bill reflected the improvement. He also checked the equipment itself and everything was operating within normal parameters. Boston Heating & Air Conditioning provided a detailed report of the work performed and the estimated energy savings we could expect. The cost of the duct sealing paid for itself within a couple of billing cycles. I was glad they took the time to investigate the root cause rather than just recommending a new system. That approach builds real customer confidence.

Called Boston Heating & Air Conditioning after our thermostat stopped responding and the house temperature dropped to about 58 degrees overnight. The technician arrived first thing the next morning and quickly determined that the thermostat had failed internally. He installed a new programmable thermostat, wired it in, and configured the settings for our system. He also took the time to program a schedule based on our daily routine, which was thoughtful. After the thermostat was replaced, he checked the furnace operation to make sure nothing else was contributing to the problem. Everything tested fine and the house was back to a comfortable temperature within an hour of his arrival. The invoice was straightforward with no surprise fees. The technician was friendly and explained everything without talking down to us. We appreciated that he confirmed the fix rather than just swapping the part and leaving. This kind of thoroughness is exactly what you want from a service provider. We will keep their number handy for future needs.

we had a problem with our air handler making a loud humming noise that would start and stop randomly throughout the day. called and got an appointment for the following morning. the technician identified the issue as a failing contactor relay, which was causing the unit to vibrate when it engaged. he replaced the part and tested the system through several cycles to confirm the noise was gone. he also checked the blower motor and capacitor while he was in there, just to make sure nothing else was on its way out. everything looked good and he gave us a clean bill of health on the rest of the system. the total cost was reasonable and he explained every line item on the invoice before we paid. i was pleased with how quickly the problem was resolved and the fact that he was thorough in checking the surrounding components. its the kind of service that builds trust and keeps you coming back to the same company.

The crew showed up right on time for our spring AC tune-up and got straight to work. They checked the compressor, cleaned the outdoor unit, inspected the electrical wiring, and tested the thermostat calibration. Everything checked out fine, which was reassuring heading into the warmer months. The technician took a few minutes to show me how to properly rinse the outdoor unit with a garden hose, which was helpful since I'd never done it before. He also recommended that I change my filter monthly during peak usage instead of every three months, which made sense. The whole visit was about forty-five minutes and the price was exactly what was quoted over the phone. No attempts to sell me anything extra or scare me with unnecessary repairs. Just honest, straightforward maintenance work. I've been using Boston Heating & Air Conditioning for a couple of years now and each visit has been consistently good. They send reminders when it's time for seasonal maintenance, which makes it easy to stay on top of things.
