Did we want to spend the money on a new unit? No, but were we forced to because of new regulations and the inability to repair our 8 year old unit? YES.The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Matt was very honest with us about our situation and stayed the entire time we met with the salesperson, Chant on a Saturday none the less. We were very impressed that by this afternoon (a day and a half later) our unit is in and working. The team that did the install was wonderful from start to finish. I work remotely from my home office and not once did I feel like them working was a disruption. I was informed of every step and given a tutorial of the new thermostat as well as the offer to return if I had trouble with the app working the new thermostat.Yes our pockets are a little less full but we now have peace of mind going into the hot months that we will be taken care of with no extra costs to us since we chose the advantage package option for our new unit.Thank you to the team of men who worked so hard to get this done and cleaned up like nothing was done at all. In a world full of customer no service....I am delighted to say we received great customer service.
What a great experience Midland Air Service Experts we had after a fire scare! Mr. Richard came to check things out and advised me on repairs. We have heat after a night of 40 degrees inside. He also saved us money after rechecking our blower motor and finding it to work after all! Thank you all so much!
Issue Date: Tuesday, December 16thInstalled: Wednesday December 17thRemoval: Thursday, December 18thMidland Air ~ Service ExpertsRE: Dakota Tierce, Plumber "Plus"...Stepping out of the shower to see a 2 foot long brown ceiling spot dripping down a doorframe wall and puddling up on the floor, well, kinda freaked me out getting ready for just the second week on an long awaited new job! I raced up into the attic (where I'm told the full size water heater unit shouldn't be) with a flashlight and did my manly quick emergency inspection. I knew this was a job for a professional, and I had no time to waste to get to work. I informed my other half, Teri (retired), about the situation and was stressed having to leave her saying, "Call HomeServe and I'll have to call to check in with you about this in a bit!" ~ I prayed.Hours passed as I sat with my new supervisor trying to focus on my training and finally received a text before I could get to make a call..."Water heater covered for service and repairs. They’ll be here today!" Understand one thing, I couldn't be there to handle business and I had to leave her on her own not knowing what type of person would be coming or how 'professional' they would be. So here's the end of this happy little story....From Tuesday morning to Thursday (before I could get home from work), this is what made me soooo grateful for Midland Air for sending Mr. Dakota Tierce, Plumber "Plus"! Teri had messaged me through the couple days: "A Good day! I'll let you know what they say about water heater. Wilma said pipes got frozen. I dont know.", "Well. When it rains it pours. Has to be replaced. No hot water. I’ll explain when you get home. Dude(Dakota) fixed toilet!", "New water heater installed tomorrow.", "Well. We’ll have hot water tomorrow. $84 a month."(new enclosed unit on side of house installed), and finally, "Dude was awesome! New water heater outside."Peace of mind is healing. A company with integrity is life-saving. An altruistic employee willing to do "whatever it takes" as a representative of the company and as a compassionate human being these days is truly a BLESSING! I would trust, by God, sending anyone I know to Midland Air through this experience. Arriving home after work (Wednesday), I was delighted to meet Dakota happily doing what he does, in the dark, with a head-lamp on fixing stuff! Merry Christmas my new friend to you, the family in your life, and the great company you represent.Had a wonderfully hot shower tonight in peace and it is only Friday.... "Who ya gonna call?" I just told you. At least it wasn't a burs pipe flooding the house. Though, I feel confident Midland Air would have been the best call for ANYTHING! Call now!Gratefully,~???????????? ???????? ????????????
I needed my tub hot water facuet stem valve replaced. So I placed a service call with this company. The service fee was $99. The tech came out and quoted me $816 to change out the faucet stem valve on my tub, he said he couldnt just do one, he had to do all three, even tho they were not connected together. He said the job wud have taken 45 mins to an hour, which included him having to leave my house and go to Capitol Supply and pickup the kit and come back and change them out, so total wud have been $916 (with service fee added). That took 5 minutes for him to tell me that. I declined the service and paid the $99 service fee for a 5 minute conversation (yes mad bout that too) That charge to replace facuet stem valve was ridiculous when no cutting hole in wall and no pipes being replaced were needed. I went to Capitol Supply and picked up the kit myself, which was only $48.95! A friend replaced them at no charge. He was done in 10 minutes!! I'm glad I declined this service from this company becase I'm still tryn to figure out what the $816 cost was for? When I went to Capitol Supply to get the kit i was thinking it was gonna be way expensive! I was shock how much the supply cost and what they were going to charge me! If I cud give this a zero star, I would. Clearly this would have been a rip off for me. Glad I found someone to do it for me.
Bottom Line Up Front: A lot of things happened with this company or rather both companies. Once I posted my initial review on here, a rep from Service Experts home office in Texas called me. She was very nice and understanding and got in touch with Midland folks. Within a couple of days they sent several people out who came and diagnosed what they thought was the problem. Eventually, they sent a crew out to do some vent and duct work but we still had a condensation problem. They decided to place a home dehumidifier system in the house free of charge due to all of the troubles we had been having, although, I'm not 100% sure even that was a real problem given we had never had a condensation problem before the new installed system and from my understanding, the new system was pretty much on par with our old system, just a higher SEER rating. At any rate, they made everything right so far. They are having a 3rd party come out to fix our ceilings and are covering those costs as well. Finally, Travis Nichols was and is phenomenal. He was very understanding and supportive of my wishes, particularly in discontinuing the service experts service contract and lease. He gave me a better than fair price to terminate the lease and we were able to make that happen. I am truly grateful in this aspect and thankful for their understanding. After everything and much thought, they really are a good company and will go the extra mile to fix problems incurred by equipment they install. A+ company!
