We had a frustrating experience with Clear Heating & Air.

In October 2023, leveling concrete material was spilled near a furnace during flooring work. Clear inspected the system and provided a written report stating: “As you can see, no internal damage and the furnace and coil can be used with no fear, while the original manufacturer warranty by Lennox will stay valid.”

Recently, Clear returned and advised that the furnace was now non operational, unsafe, not repairable, and may no longer be covered under warranty. They recommended full replacement and attributed the condition to contamination damage that had worsened over time.

Before moving forward, we obtained a second opinion from Action Air Conditioning, a Lennox authorized contractor. Their technician found no error codes, confirmed the system was operating properly, observed no internal contamination, verified safe carbon monoxide levels, and ran the system for about 30 minutes with no issues. Replacement was not recommended.

Based on this independent Lennox certified evaluation, the furnace was functioning normally and did not need to be replaced.

If you are advised to replace a major system, it is worth getting a second opinion.

After learning that my HVAC system was showing multiple signs of heading toward inevitable demise, I decided to take advantage of soon-disappearing incentives. Having reached out to over 20 different installers and performed much of my own extensive research, I selected Clear Heating & Air.

There were multiple factors that steered me to ultimately make this decision. I usually perform extensive research (to an OCD level) about the products, pricing, and service provider, especially on large purchases. From my consultation with Reuven, it was immediately apparent that he was an expert with the products and at his trade. There were no questions he was unable to answer or find me the answer to; whereas I was stumping salesmen from other companies with many years in the business, simply because they weren't experts in their field. The kicker was that I also had an airflow balance issue amongst various rooms that we needed a resolution for. Reuven displayed thoughtfulness and his expertise in developing the best solution for our issue. He does not utilize high-pressure or disingenuous/deceptive tactics to make a sale like some others tried. His honesty, transparency, responsiveness, professionalism, respect, integrity, level of expertise, and reasonable/competitive pricing gave me high confidence and trust that I was making the right choice.

Reuven personally introduced me to his installation supervisor, Enrique, who exhibited the same traits mentioned above. He and his team did an excellent job.

After installation, both Enrique and Reuven ensured that I was completely satisfied with resolving my airflow issue and with the installation; and even coming back to make further adjustments to get me the optimal airflow I wanted for each of my rooms.

Reuven, Enrique, and the whole team did all of this with an extremely positive attitude that exuded genuine care for their customers, even at the tail end of the long days they worked.

In summary, the entire experience I had was exactly what every customer wishes to receive from any provider of services and goods, but seldom do. Needless to say, I would recommend Clear to anyone with HVAC needs without any doubt or hesitation. They've earned it.

I have had 3 technicians from Clear come out to the house for a new system project. Enrique, Miguel and Aaron. Every one of them true professionals. Very knowledgable, transparent, experienced and thorough. Over the phone I have dealt with Catherine quite a bit. She is an absolute gem! I have ended every conversation with a smile on my face. Who knew scheduling expensive HVAC repairs could be so much fun!

HVAC is a drag. I do not like spending money on this stuff. But, Clear took a lot of the pain away. Not only did they beat the other guys estimate (by a lot), but they are all great people to work with.

Getting a new HVAC system is a big investment and I always do a lot of research and shopping around before pulling the trigger on a purchase like this. Reuven and Paola were SO helpful and patient as I navigated my way thru all the details and eventually the day came for the crew to do my install. I'm so happy I went with Clear Heating and Air!
