We contracted with this company to install heating and AC in our new built house. In the beginning they were very responsive and came and did the duck work and installation of the heating. Once we were ready to do the AC in the house, we started calling him 6 months ago and and we would call, call and leave messages and Michael the owner will never get back to us. We paid him the whole amount of the job minus $5,000 for 3 air conditioners. We just wanted him to finish the job he started. We have reached out multiple times, again to no avail. Do not use this company. He does not care about his business or his customers. He is awful to do business with. BEWARE!!!!
I had given MJ heating and air-conditioning a great review in the beginning Of their installation of my ducted heat pumps. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn, and they only want To show their professionalism and kindness when a customer pays the full amount all upfront, which was not cheap whatsoever. They do give you one year of free labor charges, which is great nothing bad happened. There were little things that would happened which was really annoying for example, the AC wouldn’t turn on until the degrees went up six than what I had it set for so it would get really hot in here before it would turn on. I called them on this situation at least a good three times only the fourth person that they sent knew exactly what was going on and they fixed the problem on all three of my thermostats thank God. The first problem that I had was the heat was on for a good 18 hours continuous even though I had it set at auto it made my electricity bill become $1000(Nobody in New England should be getting a heat pump. Look it up not good in the winter whatsoever.) Anyways, the person that they sent the first time didn’t fix the problem of course only until the second time that this happened the person That came out to the house noticed the thermostat temperature reader was connected to the unit itself, which was saying it was freezing obviously instead of it connecting inside the house temperature so thank God that was fixed. This past issue that I had apparently the “motor blew” inside the actual unit in the attic And this is after a year so they were going to charge me $140 an hour for that to be fixed. The motor was under warranty. So I wasn’t going to pay for the part, but in the back of my head, how does something so expensive blow up A little bit after a year, they did not want to listen to me and they were being pretty rude about it so I called the actual company of the unit and they describe the issue completely different. I read them the warning code that the thermostat was giving and they said all that needed to be done. Was the fan needed to be cleaned So why is this company saying it blew. Anyways, the room was freezing so I turned on the unit just to see if it would work because it wasn’t working and magically. It was working great again. I have not had any issues so I called them and I said why is it working if you told me it blew? They had no explanation. I explained my concerns to the reception whose name is Ana. She is the nicest person you will ever speak with very professional. She did say she was going to express all these concerns to Mike the owner. I was waiting a few days for a call to try to get Some type of apology or sympathy, but that did not happen so I wrote this review because people should know this contractor does not take any classes for Fujitsu brand so they have no knowledge directly from the company that is what Fujitsu told me when I called them. Also, I’ve had this company’s ladder In my master bedroom still near the attic for about a good two weeks and a half I would say and they have already said they were going to pick it up that has not happened!
We replaced our heating and air conditioner with Goodman, and you can not beat the price along with the quality and absolutely great 10 year warranty (after you register it online).I can not believe how quiet the outside condenser is, it is really quiet compared to my old other brand.Heat and AC work great, plenty of airflow and it’s adjustable, to your liking.The system works great with the ecobee thermostat that performs just outstanding with 3 sensors covering our 1150 square foot raised ranch.My dealer MJ Heating & Air Conditioning sent 3 people to install in just a day!! A great crew with experience beyond their years. Excellent, professional, on time, installation from Dave, Jacob, Ryan & Nate (Electrician). Mike, the owner, was quick to answer all calls & texts. Mike’s crew did a great job throughout the process being precise with the installation ,as well as, neat and clean. The equipment they installed for our air conditioning is top quality with an installation cost that was both fair and reasonable. My wife & I know we made the right decision to contract with MJ Heating & Air Conditioning and recommend them with confidence.
