Recent reviews highlight technicians who communicate clearly, show photos of issues, and offer straightforward options. Many note on-time arrivals and thorough inspections of both indoor and outdoor units. Install feedback mentions clean work and timely scheduling. A smaller number of reviews cite frustrations with after-hours responsiveness and recurring issues on older or recently replaced systems.
Jon was very knowledgeable and courteous. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Very professional and efficient. He quickly found the issue and got my system working. He also gave me a quote for system replacement which I requested.
Excellent service and a very honest technician. He explained everything in detail and even showed us pictures so we could fully understand the issue. That level of transparency is hard to find. Highly recommend for heating and air maintenance.
The guy's arrived as promised and did a thorough job inspecting both the inside and outside units. They explained what they did and showed pictures to make it clearer. Overall, I would say this was a very good experience.
I have used Garland heat and air for over 20 years. Always great service and friendly repair people.GHA just installed a new 3 ton Carrier unit for my upstairs. The old unit went out on Thursday and they were able to install a new unit on Saturday morning. They were fast, clean, and friendly. My old system was 18 years old which they installed in 2007. Never had an issue with them..
Overall just bad. No resolution and no apology for anything. Had to replace my entire system with another brand new system.1. 2021 - purchased new HVAC from Garland heating and air. around 15K.2. 2022 - electrical issue where a part was needed3.2023 - low on refrigerant and to pay for that. Issue happened on a Sunday, they don't have 24/7 support just a phone center that notifies "someone" that I need help.4. 2024 - evaporator coil ($4,000) needed to be replaced. I was blamed for this by 1 of the 2 women that answer the phones. I had to argue each time just to credit the service charge after paying.5. 2025 - compressor went out and was quoted $2,500 to repair and replace. even though a tune up was done a month prior. I was advised that they just go out that's the way it is. This happened on a Sunday I called the answering service twice. No call back. I got an email at midnight, when I was sleeping that an appointment was scheduled the next day.Had another company come out and the first thing he asked, "did I have this professional installed?" I said yes and asked why. His response was demoralizing. He said because it would have failed inspection right away having had the outside unit sitting on bricks just laying around instead of a pad. Which you can see in the pictures. It got worse in the attic. The unit was just sitting on the ground and also sitting on bricks. There were gaps in the connections because the unit was not properly fit according to the size. The just used my old system and just attached it with putty and duct tape. The filter housing was the incorrect size so we just had wasted air leaving the system. Also in the pictures. I'll be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so hopefully a future customer will think twice. I explained my frustration over the phone and the only thing I got was that they'll talk to the manager about it.The last 4 photos are what the install should have looked like with a follow up done on the work to make sure everything is correct before the inspection is done.
