BAP was quick and responsive. We had some indoor and outdoor gas lines removed and the job was completed in a manner that was faster than expected. The tech Zach was extremely friendly and did a fantastic job. Would highly recommend and hire again without hesitation.
We called for an evaluation of our fireplace and any required repair. They were very responsive and the technician arrived on schedule. He spent approximately 3 hours looking for a leak - we had been smelling gas whenever the fireplace was turned on. After the 3 hour ‘investigation’, his conclusion was that we had a leak but he couldn’t locate the source. The plan was for him to source and replace a 90 degree elbow and replace the existing one. He would get back to us the next day. The cost for his ‘exploratory visit’ was $310, which we promptly paid, keeping in mind the problem had still not been located. The following day we didn’t hear back, so I phoned the day after that. I was told that the office would find out what was happening and get back to me. About 2 hours later, I received an emailed invoice for $860. The company wanted to order a part (I can’t recall what the part was, but it was not a pilot assembly, and the order was non-refundable). This seemed odd since the cause of the issue had not been identified at this point. We called again and told them not to proceed with the order and to cancel any further service as we had already spent $310 and still didn’t know what was wrong. I’m not sure how or why you would order a replacement part without knowing what was wrong?Since we have sold our house on the condition that the fireplace be repaired, we proceeded to look for a different service company and start over. The second company came out to inspect. The first comment from their technician was that the burner plate was not installed properly, and all of the screws were missing. He proceeded to correct this and replaced the pilot assembly - problem solved within an hour. There were no leaks.I honestly can’t say that the technician from B.A.P. was responsible for state of the burner plate and missing screws, but I don't understand how something so obvious was not addressed, and was left in that state. I also don’t understand how the B.A.P. technician determined that the unit was leaking gas when, as it turned out, it wasn’t. Finally, without knowing what the problem was, how can you ask us to approve the order of a non-refundable replacement part worth over $860? (By the way, the new pilot assembly we ended up having installed, was $350).Very disappointing experience with B.A.P. We ended up paying $310 for their technician to fix an issue that never got resolved. We feel grateful that we didn’t pay an additional $860 for an unnecessary part based on what seemed like a hunch that this might be the solution to a non-existent gas leak.
Everyone at this company has been so kind and supportive. They are honest and efficient and do a wonderful job. No games played with sales just straight business and high quality service. Purchased a new furnace and had it installed quickly and professionally. Thank you all so much.
Highly recommend! The entire process from booking a consultation to scheduling the work was extremely efficient. Communication was great and work was completed so quickly! We had to replace our old boiler and they upgraded our system when we were in a pinch without heat— thank you for accommodating us last minute!
Great company to work with! We had our entire Furnace & AC replaced last week. Their prices were reasonable, they were very responsive to all communications, and very professional during install. The original plan was to replace the old exhaust piping because it was no longer to code without moving it, but Zach was very communicative when there ended up being a shower in the way. Instead of ruining the tile & bathroom without asking, he explained our options and worked with us to find a better solution and position for the new piping. They also installed a smart thermostat for us and Zach took the time to walk us through how that works and what he recommended for the best efficiency. Would definitely recommend and will be using them in the future for servicing our equipment!
