Cody arrived on time. He did a very thorough job cleaning out the dryer vent and the venting that flows thru the attic to the outside. He was very professional and knowledgeable about what he was doing Left everything tidy and put back together. We were very impressed with the job and will recommend Lang to others.
Lang's 72 Degrees has been an invaluable partner for our Beaufort County home. Rich’s inspection was thorough, explaining the unique needs of a southern home and why a whole-home dehumidifier was essential. Anthony and Emiliano installed it flawlessly—quiet, polite, professional, and efficient. We trust them implicitly. They care about our home, and we feel like partners. Fair pricing, great expertise, and a relationship we value deeply!
He arrived early and explained the work he was here to do. It was follow-up from a previous inspection. He was polite and courteous. He was patient with our dog. He finished the work quickly. We dealt with payment and the receipt in a swift and easy manner. A great experience.
I purchased a house in June 2025. As part of the purchase agreement, I required the sellers have the HVAC unit serviced and provide me with a report. They hired Lang 72 Degrees and the servicing was done in May. Except for a small leak in the supply plenum that they fixed with mastic, no other issues were identified. I recently hired Lang 72 Degrees to service the unit again prior to the heating system. From that service the tech indicated there was some corrosion on the unit likely caused by moisture being trapped in the attic because it is spray-foamed, and should be addressed. The tech recommended I have a team lead come out to talk about options to address the issue. The team lead came out a few days later and said in fact I did have a moisture issue and proposed I remedy it by installing an air exchange system. The recommended solution from them would cost $6k. A less expensive solution from them would be $3k. The team lead also said that there was a problem with one section of my duct work that had no foil coating over the fiberglass insulation. In between the tech doing the recent service and the team lead coming out, I reviewed the report from the servicing in May. No issues were identified at that time, yet less than 6 months later they now were saying I had corrosion and duct work issues.A month after moving in I replaced the four filters in the unit. They were very dirty (the attached picture shows the four dirty filters and a clean one next to them) and had not been replace in a long time, yet Lang 72 Degrees said they had replaced them a month earlier. They were also now identifying a duct work issue when none was identified 6 months earlier. And while the team lead is correct that spray foam can trap moisture if present in the attic/ house, I never noticed any issues and I was in the attic multiple times. Because there is no vapor barrier or insulation in between the attic and floor below, the HVAC regulates the moisture and temperature in the attic as well as the rest of the house. It also does so because the spray foam insulation does not let moisture in from the outside into the attic. In addition, the team lead also made some questionable statements while trying to sell me an air exchange system. I had another company look at the corrosion issues that Lang 72 Degrees identified and they said there were no issues. So, they didn’t do the work in the original servicing that they said they did (replace filters and inspect duct work) and now they are trying to sell me a solution for a moisture problem that doesn’t exist. I think I would avoid this company.
Great local company. Summer has been so easy to work with. Her communication and responsiveness are excellent. Preston (tech) supplied me with a lot of information about the client's HVAC units. Highly recommend to anyone.
