Talent Heating and Air Conditioning

Our central heat and air unit failed in December 2024, just a few days before we were expecting several days of extremely cold weather. I called Talent, and Terry came out promptly to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, the part needed to repair the unit was backordered and wouldn’t be available for a couple of months. Given the timing and the cold weather approaching, I decided to move forward with having a new unit installed. Talent was able to get a new Ruud unit installed before the cold weather hit, which we greatly appreciated. After installation, I did experience an issue — the unit was extremely loud during the heating cycle, loud enough to wake us up when it kicked on. I contacted Terry to explain what was happening. He and the service manager came out to inspect the unit and decided to try installing a compressor blanket to help reduce the noise. Unfortunately, one wasn’t immediately available for this particular unit, but they were eventually able to locate one. Thomas came out and installed it. I was hopeful this would solve the problem, but after running the unit for several days, the noise level really hadn’t improved. I called Thomas to let him know, and he said he had another idea about what might be causing the issue. He returned, adjusted the way the flashing was installed, and added insulation. That did the trick — now I can barely hear the unit running from our bedroom. I would highly recommend Talent. They truly listened to my concerns and were persistent in getting to the bottom of the issue and making it right. I’m, as they say, a happy camper!

Riley is a professional and knowledgeable technician. He was able to determine the issue with our unit and was very patient explaining it to me. After giving us a repair quote he was quick to call his team’s office administrator who then scheduled us for the repair work in hopes to get it fixed before the turn of the weather. Thanks!

This is an awesome heating and air company. The two men who came Tyler and Lane were very friendly and professional. They did great work and made sure to explain anything we asked them about. Called 2 companies for estimates on HVAC Service. Talent responded, arrived on time, professional test and review of my system, and was able to provide a quote on the spot. The technician tested switches and showed results proving his analysis and how he had isolated it to that component. The competitor arrived at the same conclusion, with same conclusion, but got there with a visual inspection. No verification of switches to insure correct diagnosis. I hired the other company as they were first on site. It is now the 7th day without AC, and it's August in Alabama. I should have hired Talent!
